Jeffrey Epstein was in solitary as well, but "committed suicide." Point is, where there's a will there's a way. I don't think he'll be in jail long.

What's the over/under for his first buttfck? Days? Weeks? Months? He'll have a bullseye on his ass.

I disagree. I think that his attorney focusing on the reasonableness of Chauvin's restraint of Floyd as opposed to focusing to "proximate cause" during his closing argument was the big mistake. He was never going to get a jury to believe that placing the knee on Floyd's neck for that long a period of time and under those circumstances was "reasonable" in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I think that he had a much better shot at a better result if he had focused on all of the other possibilities of causation.

Yep. There was no way to justify in that circumstance that it was reasonable after going unconscious with no pulse handcuffed WITH THREE GROWN MEN APPLYING FORCE.

I'm curious to know if this pretty much guarantees a conviction for the other 2 officers who were on top of him?

I don't think Tou Tou should be charged like the other 2 since he was not applying force and checked his pulse.

Word! That young girl filming it has had a tidal effect on the world.

I'm not convinced the body cams would have showed enough to convict.

This image has me wondering

1. His defense attorney maybe really fought for his innocence because believed in it

2. Now that he's found guilty could Eric Nelson have lost all belief in Chauvin's innocence and then began to doubt why he defended him in the first place. Instead now, viewing him (Chauvin) as an animal who shoud rot in jail?

3. Is the court officer that's escorting Chauvin thinking " I know you're one of us but no hard feelings I have to take you away" or "you are a murdering despicable human being"?

and just like that a 15 year old black child was shot dead in Columbus Ohio. She apparently called the cops for help. There is no reforming this.

The war on drugs is the biggest waste of American resources there is.

I have a family member who has used drugs now for more than 50 years. Despite this effing war, he can find drugs, including hard drugs, any time he wants - simply by making a phone call.

Madness.

definitely a problem, where money and resources could be allocated elsewhere

Meh, not so fast. Isn't this what a Taser is for? Furthermore, this is why we need mental health responders in charge when the local law enforcement is called on what is clearly a mental health event. And I haven't even really started looking into this yet.

I could never be the one to do the deed but I would be more than happy to hold a photo of George Floyd in Chauvin's face while it took place.

Yeah. Just raising something absurd sets off the BS alarm...

What was he thinking? That's what everybody wanted to know. Not carbon monoxide stuff.

2 things from this:

1. I like how the defense twisted the carbon monoxide story into their favor by "so you're telling me this officer placed the victim face down on the pavement while facing the exhaust of a running vehicle?"

2. I hate how the defense erroneously states in closing statements "so George Floyd didn't die of carbon monoxide poisoning because his oxygen saturation was 98%? But you want the jury to believe he died of asphyxiation with a blood oxygen level of 98%?"

I believe the above statement to be possibly calculatingly misleading and was so glad that prosecutor Blackwelll rebutted it
