The box score was there, but the APM isn't there yet and the sample was super small. Just going back and looking with a bit more sample and some other guys playing super well too but he might be the Nets 3rd best player even this year.

Also some bounce backs from guys who were thought done or really bad.

KD's scoring seems like an inevitability but it doesn't seem to warp defenses the way other great offensive weapons do. It seems clear that opposing defenses gameplan for Harden more than they do him, just like they used to do with Curry. I think a lot of it is due to a lack of creation - KD ultimately is an all-time great finisher and not a great playmaker.

Man I cannot wait for the playoffs. The West is loaded, and if we're lucky Brooklyn will have to play Philly and the Bucks

Another Harden injury setback. Gonna be very hard for the Nets to try to figure out their team in the middle of the playoffs, but they do have the talent to do it.

Not sure where else to say it but won't lie, kinda disappointed in the Pelicans this season. Don't know what to make of it entirely.

I mean, Ingram and Zion are both really good. When you have two All-Star level players like that, it almost shouldn’t matter who’s around them to at least play at a .500 level and be in playoff contention.

But it’s obvious they need more shooting, and SVG isn’t doing them any favors by playing two big lineups with like Hayes and Adams at the same time.

Allstar level seems a bit generous for Ingram, he's good, but I wouldn't put him there quite yet, good scorer and not much else.

Yeah, I'm not a big Ingram guy. Borderline all star. Just thought they had the depth to be solid this year but their defense being this bad is surprising. Thought they'd be a playoff team.

Also PG has been excellent this year.

Easily his best shooting season, and arguably the best offensive season of his career.

For many people though, it won't mean much if he doesn't come through for the Clippers in the PS. I kinda find myself in that group. Doesn't mean the Clippers necessarily have to win the title or even make a deep run, he just can't individually fail the way he did last PS.

New Orleans should have traded Ingram.

It seems like their defensive raw materials are a lot better than the end product. SVG hasn't improved them at all on that end, in fact they've gotten worse compared to last year.

That's kinda assuming though that both Ingram & Zion harmonize together. Seem like there's an issue where Ingram really works best as an alpha but he's already been surpassed by Zion on that front.

I tend to agree, and believe that they should be capitalising on his perceived value at the moment.

I could be wrong, but I just don't think they'll be a great fit together moving forward, just not a huge fan of Ingram's game in general though. Doesn't seem to be an overly impactful player so far, falls into that aesthetically pleasing midrange scorer mould that tends to get a little overrated in my opinion.

No Kawhi, no PG, no Rondo, no Ibaka, no Reggie, second night of a back-to-back, 9th game in 14 days, and the Clippers still came back from an 18-point deficit to beat the Grizzlies by 12. Our roster was so thin tonight that Yogi Ferrell played 20 minutes after just signing here two days ago. Just a really gutsy performance and a special vibe around this team lately.

Re: Ingram he is kinda suffering from the Westbrook issue in OKC

Getting compared to a historically efficient scorer on a team with abysmal spacing. If there are issues with Ingram/Zion its on the defensive end but I want to see more before I make a declaration on that as they are still young.

Outside of that Zion is already taking more shots than anyone has ever at the rim so its not like you can really increase his scoring load much more unless he adds more to his game. Ingram is forced to take a lot of shots on the team with poor spacing.

Trading Ingram for a star that fits Zion better is a reasonable thing to do but its very unlikely that a team would trade such a player and in the NBA if you don't have two All Stars you are screwed. Stars want to play with other stars even if they are pseudo ones.

what are the odds pacers blow up their project and myles turner becomes available, not necesarrily blowing it completely, but like to change turner, levert etc for picks and rebuild around sabonis

cause myles would be a great frontcourt partner for zion, with those 3 and zion playmaking you dont need to pay a lot on a starting level ball handling guard, so maybe you can cut some corners and load up with switchable wings

The broadcast, "Marvel’s Arena of Heroes," will be driven by a Marvel storyline in which the Avengers look to recruit Warriors and Pelicans players to fight alongside them against an invading alien army. Using 3D virtual characters, custom graphics and animation packages, the telecast will include characters such as Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Black Widow and Doctor Strange.

"Recognizing the superior physical abilities, agility, and tenacity of Earth’s greatest athletes, the Avengers will hold a series of contests where the winners earn the right to train and fight alongside them as Marvel’s Champions," ESPN said in a news release. "The Avengers will begin their recruitment with the NBA elite and observe the battle between the Warriors and the Pelicans, focusing on three star players from each team."

The players the Avengers will "scout" Curry, Williamson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball. Players will gain "Marvel Hero" points for every point, rebound, assist, steal and block, losing points for missed field goals, free throws and turnovers. The player with the most "Marvel Hero" points on the winning team will be crowned Marvel Champion.

IDK if this even belongs in this thread but it's sort of about this season and what the heck.
