The worst team in the league just scored 36 points in the 1st Q on the Mavs.

They surely can't continue like that, right?

giving up 36pts on the 1st.... KPs softness is really contagious, how is it that he gets corey joseph on a mismatch and he pops out for a 3 ffs. thats the stuff that pisses fans off and quite possibly his teammates too..

Is it just me or is KP the smallest tall guy in the league? I feel like anytime he gets back on to the court people start making shots over him left and right. Like no one is afraid of him anymore they just keep attacking the rim.

Strong finish, of the half, Mavs missed wide opens (Kleber and THJ) Pistons hit everything, but once Mavs started playing defense Pistons scored only one basket, and it was nearly list.

again.. if you guys have some free time I suggest watching that 3 part documentary of KP(on his youtube) after his injury, thats where it all started. Then it got further amplified during his non contact injury at the bubble. In his camps mind, setting screens=contact=injury, taking advantage of mismatches=post up=contact=injury, boxing out for rebounds=contact=injury.

Imo i think its mental and can be fixed but first they gotta acknowledge the problem in order to fix it.

Of course its mental. You can always play physical, even if you are much smaller and weaker than KP. He just doesnt want to. It is hard to fix if he is so affraid of injuries. Maybe if in 3 years he gets another max deal, he will play harder as he wont have to worry about the next max contract like he is now.

Like BlueSan mentioned, KP gets lost too much defensively, he's doesn't need to defend the P&R well, no one expects him to, but he needs to protect the rim better, everytime he does, defense improves a lot, **** Corey Joseph was driving at will, he's very good offensively even if he's not attacking the rim, he's money from mid range and very good outside shooter.

Well, it was too close for too long, but at least the Mavs are running away with this right now.

And Luka managed to hit 2 FTs in a row this time!!! 1 time out of 4, but still...

He's still spamming step back 3s from way too far. I'm not sure if someone told him that he could try them from a tad closer.

EDIT : It's never over with that team.... Detroit is one of the worst in the league. Even, if the Mavs win this, the team is still playing bad.

Mavs were rolling in the 4th, Luka was hot and Rick decided to stick with his idiotic rotations again. Now they have problems putting Pistons away because offense completely stopped. Tomorrow's game vs stacked Lakers has a potential to be a disaster.
