You're comparing playing the Lakers and Spurs in the finals to playing against the 2018 Celtics in the ECF and STILL being hot trash like Love was? Give me a break. His stats were just as bad as any of those guys against a MUCH worse team and Martin/Jefferson were already 10x the defender he ever was. If you think those stats are evidence of Jefferson and Martin not being good, it just proves my point about Love when his stats are just as bad against a much worse team while also being a complete sieve on defense.

Crowder was trash for Cleveland too. He was terrible after being traded to the Cavs the summer his mother died and he didn't get his mojo back for years. I like Hill but the fact is he spent the whole season pouting like a little bitch after being humiliated in free agency, signing the Kings for about 2/$40m guaranteed after turning down 4/$88m from the Jazz during the season. He was garbage in 2018 and that's the only reason the Bucks got him so cheap in 2019. That Cavs team was trash.

Kevin Love averaged 19 and 11 in his finals turn.

Oh, more facts for you by the way that you're oblivious to while accusing me of being oblivious to others. The same players were still there in 2019? How about no. Love played 22 games. Hill played 13 and was dealt to us. Thompson played 43. Crowder gone. Korver gone. Cedi Osman and Collin Sexton started a combined 147 games for that team but "most of the same players were still there." This isn't any fun. You're not even making it hard. You're at the blackjack table sitting on a 20 and yelling "Double Down!" while the dealer is asking "Are you sure?" while insisting you KNOW how to play blackjack.

I'm right. You're wrong. I'm done.

They all played in 2018 and were not good, which is the whole point of the argument.

Currently watching a couple fellas on NBATV talk about Philly and their defense as a weapon as the playoffs approach...their defense is clearly better than their offense, and they have a pretty good offense.

Can’t wait to see how we “weaponize” Bud’s schemes. I’m genuinely afraid of us just getting embarrassed by other teams shooters in round one or two.

I don't think you're alone, particularly if we draw Miami in round 1. They're not even that good, they just match up with us in a unique way and it's been like that for a few years now.

Absolutely. There’s strength in numbers here lol.

It just continues to baffle me to see our sustained marriage to the drop defense. It doesn’t take some sort of seer to be able to tell that it’s not a successful, sustainable option. I would like to hope these conversations are happening with the front office and coaching staff, but then we play another game and it’s glaringly obvious we have resigned ourselves to going down with the proverbial ship.

I could see literally anything from a first round embarrassment (similar to Miami last year but in round 1) to a finals appearance. The pieces are there for a really strong playoff showing but we have one of the worst playoff coaches in the entire league right now. He’s improved from last year and I still have absolutely no confidence in him as a playoff coach.

I’m praying we get the Knicks round 1 because they at least just don’t have the firepower. Atlanta, Miami, or Boston at full strength could all get hot for a series and upset us.

Absolutely. I’m right there with you. Our floor and our ceiling are so far apart from each other and that shouldn’t be the case anymore. I would love to pick Bud’s mind. Get the man a High Life or 12 and see what would spill out. He’s obviously well respected and well liked, but when does that stuff become obsolete in comparison to sustained playoff success? I guess we will see.

So Sterling Brown got attacked/hurt because he allegedly got into the wrong sprinter van outside the strip club in Miami. Quite unfortunate as it seems like an honest mistake, Sterling mistakenly thought the van was his since it was parked in 2 handicap spaces.

Nice dagger from Booker. Not much more you can do as a defender there

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Tbqh this is the least that has ever happened to somebody who got into the wrong van.

I hope the Bucks don't play the Knicks in the first round. Not because they can't beat them, but because they'll be going against the Knicks, the media, the refs, and an appealing narrative for the league.

Just a reminder, Jason Kidd once had Khris Middleton intentionally miss a free throw when they were up by 3 points.

Can’t help but enjoy this Knicks team. There’s a bit of fear the dear bucks about them.

This Knicks team is super likable and respect what they’ve done, but they’d be by far the easiest first round matchup IMO. Just don’t think they have the firepower to hang with us over 7, but I think Miami/Boston/ATL have a real shot at the upset.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
