I'd say rooting for a nets team thats played 9th fiddle in the tri-state area to the knicks, yankees, mets, giants, jets, rangers, devils, islanders, hell maybe the metro stars and red bulls makes you a true die hard. Kyrie is the man. NJ native who brought KD and Harden to Brooklyn. He is forever in the pantheon of nets greatness. He could score in his own basket to lose game 7 of the finals then shoot bon jovi in the face and id still be forever thankful he choose us and made us relevant.

The NJ Nets were a legitimate franchise. I always respected them and I loved watching Jason Kidd and Vince Carter on those teams. Derrick Coleman was also one of my favorite players in those days.

The BK nets were a concoction to try to steal fans away from the Knicks (unsuccessful). They were also made to to cater towards the new gentrified BK, not real thoroughbred, born and raised Brooklynites (those people are still Knicks fans). Everything about them is forced and cosmetic. Nothing they've done seems genuine.

Just few examples- Bucks, no Giannis, Khris or Jrue, NOP no LaMelo or Hayword etc. Their season filled with wins like that. You can nit pick all day.
