It's the defense that's the problem, the offense has been fine. Hence the huge negative boxscore points for the bench.

Bam and Yimmy combining for 4 rebounds and 9 turnovers hasn't really helped our cause

Sure, but this team gave up 118 points to a team that had their 2 best players not playing, that's a lack of defense.

This double digit loss to a depleted Hawks team is a bad sign. I'm not going to freak out because this team is most likely a one and done playoff team, at best. The only concern is if they continue to play games like this they could get bumped from the playoffs altogether. This season hasn't been much fun to watch. It's been such a let down from last season's Finals appearance. Oh well.

We can not play so undersized anymore, we are not a great shooting team, we have to rely on our defense, we need the size desperately

Spoelstra can not explain what was asked from the reporter.. s hit really? How come this guy never gives a technical basketball explanation on what went wrong? Getting on my nerves just like Erick Reid. I miss Dr Jack so much.

Exactly.

We have to match sizes regardless if our bigs are not stars. Small ball is taxing on small players and teams know this vs the Heat. Spo is just too in love with his chit.

I see Buttler getting disgruntled in the near future, this can become a problem.

At some stage I just have to come to terms with the fact we are what the numbers say we are. A thoroughly average, flawed basketball team.

Yes Miami can, the FO didn't add any size other then Dedmon, hell, they drafted an undersized "center" with their only draft pick for 2 years.

I want size on this team but they seem to be wanting to utilize Bam's unique skill of switching on everyone on the court even to the detriment of the team.

While I can't blame the FO for keeping our core and going all in with them, I blame the FO for keeping our core and not taking advantage of Jimmy's window

But I blame Jimmy too; if he wanted roster upgrades he should've spoken up- he didn't.

If stars/superstars don't insist on roster upgrades they usually don't happen. I blame Iggy too, cause phuck that dude

It's not a matter of FO being satisfied with the roster. There was a plan, Giannis. Jimmy knew about the plan. Unfortunately the plan had risks and it didn't work out.
Now its just about getting through the season and so that they can reass their options in the summer. We all know how Riley operates they are about now. If they see a long term move that could lead to a dynasty like getting Giannis they will be patient. Otherwise they will make moves for now. I 100 % gurantee they would stand pat in the summer. In fact they didn't in the trade deadline, unfortunately again the gamble they took with Oladipo didn't work out.
You can criticize whether they made the right decisions. But to be fair to the FO you can't say they are standing pat. Not everything works out
