Ohh, so they’re opening the show? Thought they were going on second to last for some reason. That’s not too bad for those guys then.

But did they cut Samoa Joe because they'd rather have McAfee? I like McAfee, but that'd be a shame, imo.

20-25 minutes in and I’m very impressed with Pat Mcafee on commentary. The guy has the gift of gab.

I figured the Rollins x Cesaro feud wasn’t over but I was actually happy watching SmackDown shove Cesaro down our throats, he deserves to be a main eventer!

At some point, he and Kevin Owens will have a terrific feud.

They built up the swing=embarrassment thing so much that if Cesaro swings the head of the table, the guy who's always in control and with the biggest ego right now, it would be gold

They set themselves up pretty nicely in terms of tag and 6 man matches, with Reigns, Rollins and Uso on one side and then Cesaro, Bryan and Nakamura on the other. I think Nakamura and Uso should have a Backlash match as they were last 2 in the Andre the Giant and Nakamura has beef with Reigns from the gauntlet. Reigns/Rollins vs Cesaro/Bryan could obviously tear the house down, and they may as well just take over the tag titles one way or the other, like when Ambrose and Rollins would become tag champs for a while when Raw tag division was lagging. I think Vince's push of Cesaro isn't for real and the end result is just going to be him being tag champs with Bryan as the indie version of team Hell No.

And they really went to great lengths to make Cesaro talk as little as possible last night, can't blame them though

Yep, getting an Undertaker Ministry vibes but without the cult following

Man it was loooooong. I don't think anyone else could've pulled it better than Bryan though

Also, where's Edge?

Not sure they will do it since he only has a few months left on his contract, but make Bryan get banned from Smackdown, then go to Raw and make him the champion there to save it.

Just like last year with Triple H making an appearance, going up against the NFL draft appears to be a big show where Vince tries to help Smackdown's ratings. I wish he'd do more of that in the other 51 weeks of the year.

Daniel and Reigns always have great matches, I enjoyed it. It was a nice back and forth match with a good pace to it.

I liked Reigns new theme music too. It seems like fans are split on it but to me, it’s great. The intro is dope, and the actual song has this almost tropical feel to it, which matches up with his Samoan background. We’ve grown accustomed to his old Shield theme, but I always felt he should’ve had something more defining and less generic.

It’s interesting that they changed it out of nowhere after years of the same music/him being a main eventer of so many WM’s. Can’t really think of another guy having a big music change halfway through his career as a main eventer. I suppose Undertaker as ABA and Triple H changing to king of kings.

I agree with Reigns' new theme. Said this in one forum that it's so swag even Paul was walking with so much attitude. It's like there's an impending doom for the waiting opponent.

Also, change that hologram thing where Roman is roaring. Could be better without a shirt, wearing a lei, and have his arms crossed

Reigns theme music is good. Gives final
boss vibes.

It's weird that Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose were their best prospects at one point, and he gave all three mediocre theme songs and didn't give his number 1 guy Reigns a new one when he went solo. The Reigns/Shield one was actually the best of the three which is saying something. In mid 2000s they did a way better job with The Time Is Now, Burn In My Light and I Walk alone for Cena, Orton and Batista. They also really delivered for the Four Horsewoman in my opinion.

I like the new theme although I think some of the choices in the melody are weird. It's a step away.
