He's Coby's twin, separated at birth. If I knew how to copy and paste basketball-reference/Excel files and have them format properly, I would show that.

Taj and Rose both playing great in the 1st Q. Randle is so freaking good. Knicks/Raps on ESPN right now.

Please ESPN, give us more Vince Carter and less (preferably nothing) of Mark Jackson, Chris Webber and Reggie Miller. He’s actually good at this.

The Knicks are extremely fun btw. Such a well-organized team, they’re just doing their thing out there.

Taj is one of the few Bulls players I would love to bring back at the end of his career to “retire as a Bull.” What a career. Also a lesson in not knee-jerk overvaluing a player’s advanced age on draft day.

I could tell by halftime of the first summer league game I ever heard him call that he was a natural and should be the next big thing once he retired as a player. He’s excellent and if ESPN has any sense he will soon replace every single former player they have as the primary analyst and announcer.

Yeah... you watch them play and you just KNOW they have put in the work.. the real work. The right kind of work. The mental game.

Thibs was talking about what a great group he has there and how the players want to get together and have late night work outs and they are finding the time to practice despite the schedule. You think our Bulls team is volunteering for late night work outs before days off? lol

Knicks are doing great for the kind of team many people said should have been tanking for the draft at the beginning of this season. Now they're a 4th seed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they land a star FA in next few years with the reputation and culture Leon Rose is building there.

I also like the lack of entitlement minutes to their draft picks. Obi Toppin was their 1st rounder and he's getting no burn. Neither are Frank or Knox.

Knicks are fun to watch and actually play defense. Hated them for years, but I will be pulling for Thibs, D-Rose and Taj come playoff time.

D-Rose looks great and is doing a wonderful job running the point and controlling tempo. Would love to have a PG like that again one day.

It would not surprise me if the Knicks get to the ECF's this year. Maybe even all the way to the Finals the way they are playing and with the vet leadership, the right kind of leadership they have. They play smart and they get better as the games go along. They are a strong 4th Q team like most Thibs teams have been when dialed in. This Knicks team is really dialed in right now and could wind up doing something special in the playoffs.

Knox is just horrible and with Rose and Quickley and Payton there is just no burn for Frank. Toppin is very young and the Knicks are trying to compete, so Thibs is giving him some minutes but only around 10-12 MPG. But he plays in every game and he doesn't just play in garbage time. Also, with Randle, Taj, Noel and Robinson for most of the season, there just isn't the minutes for Obi right now.

I know everyone is talking about Joker and Embiid and now Steph for MVP, but my MVP is Randle this season.

I don't mind Reggie, but amen to dropping the first two. And move Richard Jefferson into the rotation.

Career, per 36-

Horace Grant - 12/9, 54% TS%
Taj Gibson - 13/9, 55% TS%

Horace played when points were harder to get, so he gets the offensive nod. But it's pretty close. And both Grade A defenders. For me, Taj hands down is the most underrated Bull of, well, pretty much ever. Since the Eighties at least.

Agreed, Jefferson is great.

I don’t like Reggie, but I will agree that putting him in a sentence with Jackson and Webber is harsh.

Yep. Thibs doesn't need to give those guys extra court time to "evaluate what he has." He knows what they can do, from practices and from the limited time that they do receive. Meanwhile, by early January he had figured out that Quickley was ready, and he's been giving IQ 20 minutes per game, even though Quickley is younger than both Toppin and Frank.

It's not that Thibs is opposed to rookies; rather, he's opposed to players who don't win NBA games.

Knicks doing what we thought the Bulls were gonna do. Normalized to an 82-game season, they’re about to have at least a +20 wins improvement compared to last year with pretty much the same roster.

I thought coaches don’t have that kind of impact, I don’t understand it.

horace was better at everything except shot blocking. his peak was substantially higher. and that peak was in service of the greatest team of all time. if both were entering the draft at the same age, no GM would consider taking taj. rightfully

Not too harsh. Reggie is terrible.

Jefferson is great though.

I am still bitter we didn't select DaJuan Blair. What could have been.
