If he declares, I'd be okay with Andrew Nembhard with our first. He's not terribly athletic, but he has the intangibles to be a very good player. I've liked his game since his freshman year at UF.

Yea, he has a bit of that Maledon calm PnR handler ability to him. Obviously has excellent vision. He doesn't have a long wingspan (6'4), but I don't think his athleticism is so terrible that he won't make it in the league. His shot is exceptionally quick and he's comfortable with step back. I think as he gets more time to refine his skills, he'll be a very good shooter. Shot pretty well inside the arc this year.

I'll be annoyed if he returns to school.

I can see Kobble's interest in Scotty Pippen Jr. His offensive numbers are excellent and he hits a lot of the numbers I'm looking for: huge FTr, 80+ FT%, great 3pr on solid 3FG%, 3+ STL%, near that 7 OBPM. But man, he looks lethargic on defense. 2 years of a horrendous record at Vandy. By nature of being on the same awful team, he has some red flags that Saben Lee had last year but without the huge wingspan nor is he very tall.

On numbers alone, I'd definitely be interested in him with a late second rounder, especially in this terrible draft.

Offensively, this guy seems legit. Wide array of moves and insane confidence. I'm not sure he's going to declare this year (prob not) but I think he's a household name, at least in SEC circles, next year.

Anyone else like Boukinght? I know his shooting numbers aren't great( elbow surgery didn't help) but he's so skilled offensively. He reminds me a bit of Mitchell/Lavine. Would ya'll trade Maxey if it meant getting Bouknight?

If you could get that 2025 pick back, you do it, but teams won't spend a pick that far in the future for a late 1st.

I do think the 76ers will look into trading back into the 2nd round this year, to avoid the guaranteed contract associated with a 1st round pick.

I’m not so sure about trading a pick away in this years draft, if anything I’m looking to move up.
Because the draft starts at 6, quality prospects get pushed down because the top 5 are sound.

If you identify the right prospect you’re going to get him at a nice spot (teens) because the top 5 pushes players down the draft order.

The young players we have don’t have high ceilings/bit part players so the variance is more.

If you could identify starter material in the teens I’d pull the trigger, or identify legitimate all star talent pull the trigger, or if you think there’s a legitimate superstar pull the trigger.

What I’m saying is this we are not a FA destination/Star trade destination etc. The Hinkie method is sound but isn’t thoroughly burrowed out. People say he drafted Noel, Okafor etc. correct we wouldn’t have got Embiid. He fell to us.

MPJ at 14 auto get
Luka at 3 auto get

In a vacuum they destroy lesser valued players because in Lukas/Embiid case brings real chip value that a role player never could hope to dream off doing. It’s super moves the timeline even if they are young. And supersedes the cap too.

(I’m looking at you Jalen Green). Cash in dimes for a dollar

The Draft is a “free” shot essentially speaking. You miss okay don’t let the value linger and dissipate. The player turnover/talent turnover is very high anyway, so replacement lvl players has never been easier to do. You hit good stuff keep them (Bridges case). The Bridges stuff was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever witnessed. You actually liked the prospect (not associating player value to the pick because the pick was going to get traded) a lot.
Drafted a prospect who didn’t have sized skills at all. Then doubled down the very next year.

This draft sucks. Unless there are international prospects that fall to us or we get a deeply undervalued freshman, I'd be fine with punting on this pick for future firsts. I don't think there's a major difference between 26-30 and anywhere in the second round.

We had an opportunity in last draft to select from a few PGs who were young, two-way floor generals (Dotson, Tre Jones) to assist in running an offense on this team at some point in the future. We could have chosen some offensive heavy guards that can shoot off the dribble (Myles Powell, Theo Maledon, Skylar Mays). Instead, we drafted Isaiah Joe who was spoon fed shots his entire career at Arkansas, and Paul Reed, admittedly a good pick.

This upcoming draft doesn't have that depth of guard play from what I've seen.

I've been watching a few of his games. He has the numbers, but man he looks bad on defense. Throws some epically stupid passes too.

3.2% steal percentage, though. The league don't let guys defend, anyway. As long as you can make plays on the defensive end and generate turnovers, you're a defensive asset. Pippen can be a defensive asset at the next level as long as he keeps his deflection rates going.
