I hope we are overly cautious here and keep Jaylen out possibly until the playoffs.
For one, what's most important here is that Jaylen is healthy for the playoffs and for next season. For two, I'm curious to see what happens where Fournier takes Jaylen's spot in our rotation. This isn't a knock on Jaylen - but I feel Fournier is possibly a better fit alongside Tatum.

At this point I am thinking an actually injury not soreness. If everyone else is back, we can afford to take our time with him. TT + Luke can hold the fort down at center. Especially when we don't play Embiid.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Good question. Seems like an awfully long time to be out for knee soreness.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Bright side: down to one player on our injury report
Dark side: he was like 3rd in the league in PER and yeah what’s up with his knee

Last I checked he was top 10 in league in PER, TS%, FG%, blocks %, rebounding %, BPM, offensive rating and defensive rating.
I've got this bad feeling his injury is worse than they are letting on and out of nowhere they're gonna say they're shutting him down for the season and maybe having him go in for surgery

Anyone know what timelords actual ailment is I knows it’s knee soreness but like is it just from continued play or did he tweak it recently?
My fear is that it is his congenital condition, which is supposedly at least part of what made him drop in the draft and could supposedly be addressed by surgery.

Once again, as an endocrinologist, I claim no orthopedic expertise whatsoever.
But I 100% agree with you.
With the advantage of hindsight, I think this should have been surgically corrected already.
PS The pathophysiology of PAES is similar to that of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome - one of the diagnoses entertained with Markelle Fultz.

Why do you think they opted not to do surgery? Seems this will plague him his whole career. If it’s correctable, wonder why they would not not fix the issue?

Who knows?
Maybe the Boston orthopods they consulted thought it could be handled w/o surgery?
and/or
Rob refused surgery?

Interesting re: the similarity to Fultz's condition. And yes, I wondered back when he was drafting why they wouldn't just take care of it that summer and let him get on with his career. For whatever reason, they seem to have opted for the more conservative approach and now it may be coming back to bite them a bit. A shame, but this team was rotted from inside anyway, so maybe he'll have it taken care of this spring and then will come back with new freedom in the fall.

Yea that’s super weird to me that they waited or opted against it seems like it’s held him back. Wy wouldn’t they just take care of it after the draft early so we and he don’t have to worry about it.
Idk who the **** hired our training staff or who its comprised of but they must be among the worst in history. Nobody can stay healthy nobody can stay in shape and everyone is always getting sick.

Yeah I'm thinking they are resting Tatum and Kemba tomorrow since it's the far easier game of the back to backs (thunder = easier opponent than charlotte who we play on weds)..
This article seems to think so too:
https://www.celticslife.com/2021/04/jayson-tatum-and-kemba-walker-both-out.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook&fbclid=IwAR2q9JZGK1XLXQ-zEFSSh4HbIw4wBLJrwvy-fBwZvAglTXezZfnjbF4x6os
As for Rob, if they were going to do the same with him, sit him vs the easier team (thunder) and then play him weds vs charlotte, I figure they would have just announced him as being out at the same time they announced Tatum and walker being out. But instead, they upgraded Rob to questionable, so I'm optimistic we see him back tomorrow vs Thunder. I figure they bring him back, but on mins restriction (maybe limit him to 14-16 mins) vs thunder, and then with weds being a back to back he would probably stay on mins restriction for that game too. After that, who knows....

I was guessing it was a sprained lack-of-foul-gesticulating shoulder(s) injury. But I like yours better.
