I managed to go today's date long of never having seen the Bogut injury, but I can't imagine it looked worse than what just happened to Weidman. He's **** foot just fell off.

Moved to the new place this weekend, suffered a casualty during the move. My large desk (60" wide x30" deep) snapped by some poor box placement from someone. Anyone have any large desks they like? Preferably not an L shape or anything.

I’m happy with the Jarvis sit/stand desk. You can get any size top and a variety of wood choices.

IMO get a piece of butcher's block countertop and screw some hairpin legs into it.

Have an old junk car that I need to clear out of my garage soon. Anyone ever done this in the Milwaukee area and have a place they'd recommend calling (or not calling)?

Sun Country Airlines will begin service out of MKE on August 26. Only 5 cities to start, Minneapolis, Ft. Myers, Cancun, Phoenix and Vegas. More competition is always good. Sun Country used to fly out of MKE and I took them a couple of times. It was fine for a budget airline (and all airlines are budget airlines now for the most part).

I fly it a lot out of MSP. They've just added even more destinations from here. They may outgrow it, but the sweet thing was they basically run out of Terminal 2 which only has ~15 gates. I'm generally waiting at my gate or the bar 10 minutes after showing up at the airport at most.
Pretty much...it's a budget airline but it's not Spirit.
This is probably a good time for them as they specialize in vacation destinations. Delta and the like are going to probably lose a lot of business travel legs in new times but there probably will be even more flights to vacation spots.

Haven never been in a position to donate, but hear these car donation commercials on 88.9 all the time

One thing about donating if you plan to use the write off, you can't use bluebook, you have to use what the charity actually gets for the car when they sell it or scrap it.

I live in Phoenix and the closet airport to my parents is Minneapolis so I've flown Sun Country several times. Decent budget airline, I've never had any issues.Kerb Hohl wrote:MickeyDavis wrote:Sun Country Airlines will begin service out of MKE on August 26. Only 5 cities to start, Minneapolis, Ft. Most fun I've ever had on a plane was 15 years ago on a sun country flight Christmas Eve night. Sat in the very back row and our whole row of strangers were all in a festive mood and we litterally drank the plane out of beer. The fight attendants were hanging out with us and drinking whine on the down low. Practically stumbled off the plane when we got to MSP.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I've taken Sun Country to Vegas once or twice and I think it's always festive on the way there with lots of drinking and I want to die on the way home, complete silence. There's always random guys heading out to do a magic show or something on the flight. One time my friends sat next to the jump to conclusions guy from Office Space. He was kind of a dick. I once sat on the way back from Vegas next to the Brewers player's parents of the prospect we had that came up and started like 0/22 10+ years ago. Name is slipping me, I shall google. Brad Nelson. It was Brad Nelson and they were giving me all of the details of JJ Hardy's life as they were buddies.
I once took Sprit to Vegas. I'm 5'11" and I think I am the maximum height that comfortably fits in those rows. My friend with me was 6'2" and there were 3 guys behind us all well over 6 feet. For 75% of the flight they all just stood in the back galley and talked to the flight attendant since that was much more comfortable than riding in those rows.

That's my set-up. Looks sharp, sturdy as all get out and probably between $150-200.

They ever mention JJs brother Logan? He was an Amy vet and I used to run into him at the bars down by ASU in the mid 00s. I was wearing a brewers hat one night so we started talking and made that connection then would have a beer and talk brewers when we'd run into each other after that. Seemed like a nice guy, liked to party.Kerb Hohl wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:I live in Phoenix and the closet airport to my parents is Minneapolis so I've flown Sun Country several times. Probably did. We talked the whole flight but I was very hung over and this was probably 7-8 years ago now.

Goddamn almost pissed myself listening to Zach Harper and Amin Elhassan's latest Cinephobe pod on 1994's "Disclosure". Amin has seriously let it rip since he quit ESPN. I love it and this pod so much.

Re: OT: General OT Thread [NO POLITICS OR RELIGION]
Ruiz-Arreola was a fun scrap. Only had Arreola winning two rounds, including a 10-8 with the KD in 2, but he was game. Ruiz righted the ship, although - literally right when I was putting this post together - Arroela put the directive to the judges to "suck his mfing dick." My card would have been 117-110. Ruiz still looks to be 3rd at heavy behind Wilder and Fury, who is far and away the class of the division but is so mercurial that who knows what happens each time he steps in the ring.
