If Lamello does get in another 10 games, I’d be shocked if he weren’t ROY. He’s simply been better than Ant when the year is looked at as a whole. It also helps that his team took a giant step up from last year, partially because of Melo, partially because of Hayward.
I think he will get it too but Ant's numbers have been pretty incredible post all-star break, like some of the better rookie numbers in league history, particularly when it comes to scoring. That said he has cooled off enough in the last few games (not really bad just not ridiculously hot) that I could definitely see Lamello taking back all the hype.
My brother (who started out hating Edwards and now loves him) thinks Ant would have it locked up no matter what, he thinks what he is doing is more impressive than Lamello, I told him I don't think he's achieved that yet but he swears up and down lol. I'm going to laugh if Lamello does wind up winning it only because he is so certain that he can't at this point, I was telling him that Lamello's game really has people mesmerized but he thinks I'm crazy or something for suggesting he would still win ROY if he had some more time. We are about to find out XD.
