AOS: Who cares what the score was? They lost to the Thunder. (32-30)
I mean...I don't think I've ever watched a dumber basketball team. Ever. No one is even close.
They were 0 for 100 from three all night...and took 5 threes down the stretch.
Marcus Smart has been awful most of this season and 100% cost them this game with his absolute **** effort. Brown and Prtichard are the only ones who tried tonight. Fournier was awful. Tristan was awful. Romeo, Grant, awful.
Brad, his offense looked bad tonight for sure. Some rotations were headscratchers. We don't look prepared to play in 90% of games.
This team is just trash, awful, whatever words you want to say. They may not win another game this season. Danny Ainge, you assembled these bums and deserve every **** bit of blame you get. They are not as good as their record.

Re: AOS: Who cares what the score was? They lost to the Thunder. (32-30)
Playing without Jayson Tatum, Rob Williams III and Kemba Walker, the Celtics had a chance to win with Jaylen Brown & Payton Pritchard on fire, but Marcus Smart decided to miss 13 field goals rather than being a team player and passing the ball to the two hot hands. If I was coaching, I would have sat Smart simply for the number of times he did not pass the ball to a wide open "hot" Pritchard. It was evident that Rob Williams III's absence exposed the Celtic interior. He was sorely missed.
An alternative view:
Pts. + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed FGs - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)
+39 Jaylen Brown (38 minutes) STEPPED UP BIG TIME
+22.5 Payton Pritchard (33 minutes) teammates were not passing him the ball, especially Smart, when he was open
+17.5 Luke Kornet (20 minutes) The Green Kornet
+8 Evan Fournier (34 minutes) Need more for 34 minutes of court time
+5.5 Romeo CLangford (22 minutes) possibly the Celtics best defensive player
+3.5 Tristan Thompson (18 minutes) would have won this game if Rob Williams III was available
+2.5 Marcus Smart (37 minutes) obvious that he looked off Pritch too often. Didn't get Celtic board memo to not shoot more than 10X. This sucks for 37 minutes of court time. Should have given 7 of his 13 missed field goal attempts for Brown & Pritch to shoot
+1 Semi Ojeleye (8 minutes) not good enough for 8 minutes
+0.5 Jabari Parker (5 minutes)
0 Aaron Nesmith (12 minutes) - yuk
-0.5 Grant Williams (11 minutes) How Does This Guy Get so much Court Time??

Of all the Asses of Shame in this miserable, putrid, flatulent season, this Ass of Shame stands alone.

Sad when you are outplayed at home by a 20 year old average-age, tanking team that had lost 14 in a row. Maybe the worst non-tanking loss in franchise history.

Not sure people realize this but this team was -11. That is how bad Vegas thinks Oklahoma is.
Anyway queue the excuses and stats that show the only reason why this team lost the game is because they weren't healthy and they're actually way better than their record shows.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Went out in public. Saw the funniest thing.
Not sure everyone would appreciate the story.
It is, of course, Celtics-related.
Very funny.
It was one of those times, when bursting out laughing would have been the only appropriate reaction, and possibly would have resulted in injuries and other consequences.
If anyone else here had seen it, laughing. Guaranteed.
But they would not admit it.
Meanwhile, Kelly Olynyk, 6 points in the first 7 minutes. Rebound, assist. 0 turnovers.
3 for 3 from 2.
League leader.

I knew we were going to lose.
As soon as people started talking about OKC's losing streak. We constantly play down to the competition.

Always a good time when you lose to a team that is tanking.
AOS goes to me for tuning in. I knew this was going to be an L, but I still watched anyways. Good times.

This is a fire-able loss. Brad should count himself lucky that he doesn't work for some organizations.

Smart and Fournier combined for 8-31 shooting, including 3-19 from 3.
They did have 5 steals each.

Re: AOS: Who cares what the score was? They lost to the Thunder. (32-30)
I hope there is nobody left here that is surpised by that outcome, lol. I didn't think they'd lose, but I thought a game with no Tatum, Kemba, and Bob is a toss up against any NBA team. We just aren't good enough to overcome injuries and slide a couple guys up a peg.
If any one of Ojeyele, Grant, Romeo, Kornet (who was good though), and Nesmith are our 11th or 12th guy that gets thrust into a 9th guy role for a game due to a couple injuries, sure, we'd be fine. But those guys are basically our 9th - 13th fully healthy after the starters (5), Fournier (who isn't in rhythm yet himself), Rob or Tristan (the non-starter), and Pritchard. That's a decent top 8 if everyone is healthy and Fournier was settled in, we can win a series if that's the case.
But tonight missing three of the top 8 and having post-COVID unsettled Fournier, we've basically forced 3 or 4 out of 5 of Romeo, Grant, Semi, Kornet, and Ojeyele to play like top 8 rotation pieces. Not a formula for success.
I would've guessed a hard fought win, but definitely didn't expect to stroll through anybody with this team's performance, our injuries, and Fornier not being ready to step in and replicate any decent percentage of Tatum and Kemba.

Will still be watching the games, but doubt anything will top this in terms of embarrassment, so that's good. Means less stuff to get mad at, just gonna go with the flow at this point.
Doubt the team flips a switch in the playoffs, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong. Changes will be needed in the offseason regardless though.

Brown, PP get a pass. Fournier only gets a pass coz it seems covid is a real bitch to come back from and he did have a decent effort especially in the last quarter.
Kornet gets a pass simply because he provided as much or a little more than can be expected of the 3rd string big playing big minutes.
Everyone else including Brad was garbage, but I'm sure they'll have some excuse.

AoS for Smart, Thompson, Fournier and Semi (who actually started). And Brad for the end of game mess.

Re: AOS: Who cares what the score was? They lost to the Thunder. (32-30)
The Celtics were set on losing this game from the moment they became aware of it.
Sit your star, do your boring-ass ****, try to RALLY!
So if I were sitting my star scorer, I might try to draw up more plays for my other All Star down the stretch. And/or try to get my young wing players (like the last two #14 picks in consecutive drafts) the ball in places where they can do something with it, to build their confidence and maybe get us a win against a team on a B2b that’s lost 14 in a row.
OR I could watch Marcus Smart miss his first 10 3pt FGA and prepare my postgame comments about how you really have to tip your hat to the Thunder, they were phenomenal tonight.
The only silver lining is these sorts of losses might one day lead to the end of the Bland Stevens Era in Boston.
Ps did I read “Romeo Clangford” above, that’s funny stuff jammer!

So Brown and Smart think he is Hayward?
Not funny, but the funniest time when Celtics never passed was when open Joe Johnson was open and despite being open never got the ball.
The lesson from the story?
If you are a Celtic, and teammates refuse to pass you the ball, you are guaranteed to go to another team and sign one of the biggest contracts of all time.
Gary Payton's son Pritchard is going to be rich. Very rich.

Celtics collectively have no heart, passion, pride or interest in moving deep into the playoffs. This team simply has no interest.
OKC who lost 17 of 18 games scored 41 points in the 4th quarter in Boston to win the game.
Celtics have no pride.
