And by the looks of it 2 games off Charlotte and the 8th place!

Hell, let’s go for the 8 seed so we have to win only one in the play in.

After a road game against Cleveland on Friday, Wiz will be at the beginning of playing seven of eight games on the road. Atlanta (2x), Dallas, Indiana (2x), Milwaukee, Toronto are all in the mix after Cleveland on the road. This will decide the seedings. Play-in game? Ninth-seed? Eighth seed? No play-in game. It's all there.

It's nice actually give a crap about the standings in a non-lottery context.

Fair enough. Of course, our starting 3 and starting 5 are out for the season, so there's that.

Okay, my pessimism was clearly premature. Or outright wrong. We dismantled them and if Bertans
has a normal shooting night, it’s a laugher. (I feared we might see LBJ)
Burke needs to do her homework when talking about us.
She barely mentioned Gafford and our 3 headed monster C.
She didn’t emphasize our improved D nearly enough.
Russ had a HoF game, and as we’ve all observed, when his WTF:OMG ratio
is favorable, we are tough. Hutchison with a nice ESPN game.
Len, as Burke did note, had a nice game. We hardly shoot 3s
and instead get paint buckets from our centers. It works.
Watch out IND, isn’t Turner out? Teams need depth at center
to match up against us.

No, El BJ did not play. Got to watch him look glum and aged on the bench. ’Twas glorious.

What a win!!

That Hachimura dunk over The Unibrow was legit nasty. Total poster.

This team is TOUGH. We kinda punked them. Punked the Lakers.

For next year, seriously, I would make Westy a player-coach and give him some top-notch assistants to handle Xs and Os. He deserves it. We’re lucky to have him. This is a massive, massive culture change.

I wonder if there is a way we could wink wink a retirement deal with him and he just takes over as HC with a little chunk of ownership on the side and a nice fat contract

Best dunk was Hachimura's over and through Davis. Close second was Gafford dunking on Kuzma's ridiculous Sisqo head. Hutchinson's was a solid 5, maybe a 6.

RUIN Hachimura. He left him sitting and checking for blood. That was satisfying. I love that while we couldn't hit from outside for most of the game (Bertans 0-6). we attacked the Lakers where they were strongest, outscoring them in the paint and unintimidated by their size. Russ kept feeding inside players for ferocious dunks and Beal's game seems to now be to attack the interior for impossible lay-ups. Len played a hellofa game. It would be a different story with LeBJ, but still, it was satisfying to beat them at home with fans in attendance. And to beat them with attacks in the paint proves it was not a fluke.

Agreed. Most top PGs have a TOV% in the 12-14% range. Dame, Curry, CP3, etc.

Russ is at 18.7% and has had a TOV% lower than 13%, 13 times this year.
We are 10-3 in those games... against the Clippers, Nets, Lakers (Twice), Pacers, Celtics, etc.

This team can win against anybody of Russ can limit turnovers.

The 3 center lineup with another good night - 15-24 from the field. Gafford with a few highlights although it seemed like the Lakers including Harrell effectively used pump fakes against him as he committed 3 fouls in 13 minutes. Hook shot Lopez did his thing in 8 minutes with Len being the best center in the lineup for the night- the only stretch he struggled defensively was when the Lakers went to a Davis at center lineup.
