I don't like using records to compare pitchers I use ERA.
Funny, you just did it. Also, ERA isn't the greatest thing to use on relievers, their ERA could fluctuate greatly by just one bad outing.
Marmol isn't a closer (although must Cub fans agree he should be) so I am not using saves to compare them.

I'm telling you, to think Marmol's ERA will stay under 2 is absurd. Leaving 91% of baserunners on is pretty hard to consistantly do, and I would say the same thing about Putz and Saito who are the only two higher than him. (By this I mean consistantly considering this season is almost over.)
No doubt Marmol has great stuff, but two things I kind of worry about him is his walk rate and giving up a lot of fly balls. If those two would improve he would without a doubt be a top reliever in the game.
Also, just curious what did you think of him last year at this time, when he was putting up horrible numbers in the bigs?
