Oh, and bye-bye Teddy. Panthers move him for a 6th round pick.

Looks like Darnold is in the drivers seat in Carolina next season.

The Niners have to be pissed about how that Bridgewater trade just set the market for stop-gap QBs. If the Panthers had to eat 70% of Teddy's guaranteed salary and still only got a 6th rounder then San Fran isn't getting jack **** for Jimmy G.

Also, Matt Rhule has now called the incumbent QB 'our guy' to the media and then dumped him a couple months later two offseasons in a row. The man is a stone cold operator 8-)

Yeah, well, San Fran skewed the whole top 10 when they traded back to #3. So I'm not sympathetic. Now they're after Aaron Rogers. Good grief.

Carolina trading for Darnold was all Fitterer and his desire to have all holes plugged, darn the cost. It won't preclude them from taking Fields if he's there, but I'm bullish on Darnold so I hope they take Sewell or Surtain in that order.

I agree, I don't think Darnold is a lock to be the starter just yet. I'd take Fields if he's available but after that I'm with you. I think I'd rather have Sewell before Surtain and then Slater after those two.

The only pick I'm hoping against is WR. Seems like a really deep draft at that position and even though the Bama bros are great players we have bigger needs. We can still get a good one receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round, not sure that''s as true for LT/CB.

There's a reason they didn't pick up Darnolds 5th year option. We take Fields if he's there imo.

Sewell or Fields is going to be there now. I'm shocked Waddle went so high.

The pick is in and..........Horn it is!!

He is who I was wondering the Saints might be trying to trade into the top 10 to draft.

CB was my preferred route if Sewell and Fields weren't the pick, so I'm good with it. I hope he's the real deal, a legitimate shutdown corner would be great.

I like Horn, but he does get pretty handsy and a little too aggressive. He'll need to work on that or face drawing a lot of penalties.

He really does have absolute lock down potential though.

Good pick.

Rhule type of player. Surtain was the more technically competent player, which is why I wanted him, but Horn has an edge, an attitude a nasty streak...and that's a Rhule type of player.

Fields to Chicago..........so does that all but put an end to his hopes to be a successful NFL player?

Mac Jones to NE is a good fit. Not a fan of the Leatherwood pick by Vegas. Felt Darrisaw is the better prospect and a true tackle. Lots of drafting due to measurables. Not a surprise with all the COVID opt-outs.

Well ****, both my realistic 1st round CB choices are off the board now.

That's not great.

My guess is that BAL will go with a WR (Bateman, Moore or maybe Marshall) and the Saints will have JOK there who we will draft.

Then we'll address CB tomorrow night and pick up Samuels, Campbell or Stokes by trading #60 with one of our 3rd round picks to move up to the top half of the 2d round.

I'm still dirty at the Titans for taking Farley though. I really, really, really wanted him.

Our defense is going to he spectacular if these young pieces eventually mold together.
