Kiper had Fields as the 6th best overall prospect, 2nd best QB in the draft.

McShay called Fields the most physically gifted QB in this class. 4.4 40!

Love this.

the 49ers traded their 12th-overall pick, a 2022 third-round compensatory pick and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023 for the Miami Dolphins No. 3 overall selection. Ended up with Lance. Bears gave up so much less and ended up with fields, who is equal level prospect.

To be fair... Kiper is an idiot. But I do think Fields is the 2nd best QB in this class.

The Bears have a respectable cast, lmao comparing the Bears to the Texans. They made the playoffs and then they traded Hopkins. They're a loony bin over there.

could well be. could end up better than lawrence

so why did fields fall? why are wilson and lance expected to be franchise QBs now but not fields?

I mean, we’re in a lot of trouble. Can they get us out of it with this deal? Who the f knows. It’s better than the Wilson stuff. Id be exited if it was 2017. Right now Im still worried.

we're unlikely to find out in field's rookie season. unless he looks awful we're likely to see golden boy pace strutting around halas hall beyond next season

Things change REAL quick when you make dumbass trades like the one they made for Hopkins and have the worst culture in the NFL.

Quit trollin and enjoy the hope that Justin Fields offers. He's an elite athlete, winning QB with great legs and a great arm.

It's a heck of a lot easier to contend consistently with a QB than it is without. By far the most important position to fill.

Now of course, we don't know if he's good or a bust. Hell, for all we know even Trevor Lawrence might be a bust. But you have to have the QB or else the rest gets wasted anyway. We had a Superbowl caliber defense for several years in the mid-2000's. Then again 3 years ago. It meant nothing because we didn't have a QB

just because i don't possess your feverish blind optimism doesn't mean i'm trolling

and things got better rapidly BEFORE they got worse rapidly in texas. again, things can change quickly every season in the nfl. even with a great QB there can be fallow periods. the packers recently had consecutive losing seasons. matt ryan is an MVP who has had garbage teams. and obviously we can't project fields to be that good

will the bears even have an above average defense this coming season? that's all they were this past season w/ mack still in his prime. now they lose kyle fuller. will the O-line get respectably patched up? will montgomery continue to look good? how about the receiving corps?

Peak Justin Fields. Taking down powerhouse Clemson and outplaying Lawrence. Coming back into the game after getting his ribs crushed. Toughness, speed, and threw bombs.
