The Knicks need guard shot makers and creators. Rose and Quickley are a start but we don't have that elite option yet who can close out a game for us against the best defenses. That's why even with all their flaws I still think Lavine and Beal are ultimately the best realistic options for this group. We have the coach and the personnel to cover for them defensively and they have elite shot making ability.
If the FO can be patient and wait either until next trade deadline (when their prices come down) or 2022 FA then this team could be loaded.
it's not a good pairing. even offensively it's not great.
