Seeing/hearing A LOT of that stuff. It's kind of crazy how different the players feel under Gus than Heup. I think the assistants probably have a lot to do with it as well. My boss was just telling me Monday that he met Travis Williams and his words were, "I've never had that feeling when you meet someone that they're the coolest person on the planet until I met him".

It could just be the honeymoon kind of phase where players are just happy to be excited after a disappointing year (didn't meeting expectations, players sitting out, the pandemic in general, law troubles for teammates). But it certainly seems Gus has a way with the team and has infused some much needed energy and comradery that Heupel failed to do.

Harris went to the Rams in the 4th, Tay Gowan to the Cardinals in the 6th, and Tre Nixon to the Patriots in the 7th.

Five draft picks is UCF's largest class to date.

Only undrafted player i've seen signed so far is Marlon Williams to the Texans. Pretty crazy to me how productive he was that he didn't get drafted. I realize he tested pretty poorly at pro day but still surprising to me to see one of the leading receivers in the country last year (5th in rec ypg) not get drafted.

I think he was actually a 5-star and the 25th overall prospect on Rivals. HUGE get. Even if he doesn't pan out, he's UCF's first 5-star (I think) and instantly grabs headlines and might help other 5-stars seriously consider UCF. Perception goes a long way.

Hopefully he lives up to his potential. I've read that Notre Dame fans were disappointed in him, as he didn't crack the rotation and apparently he was struggling grade wise. But others have pointed out that the coaching staff up there were extremely hesitant to play the younger players, specifically the WRs, and it seems to be common for highly touted recruits to come in, not get playing time, and then leave. Whether that's fair or not, not sure. Take it with a grain of salt.

This upcoming season may be the deepest team UCF MBB has ever had.

We'll see how it translates on the court, but they should go 10-11 deep with pretty talented players.

I don't want my 2 favorite teams to play each other. I don't think I would watch them play each other. I MUCH rather UCF play FSU and Miami.
