GT #64: Bullets @ Mavericks 9 PM (NBCSW/1500 AM)

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Sat May 1, 2021 2:57 am

YOUR Washington Bullets are now 29-34 and winners of 12 of their last 14. And the postseason is looking more and more likelier with the Bullets getting near the 9th and 8th seeds in the East. :o

Saturday night the Bullets are in Dallas on the 2nd night of a back to back. Luka the Don led the Mavs to a 20+ win in DC in early April.

Will Rick Carlisle continue his domination over DC?

I see this game as particularly more important to our eventual seeding than
some of the other upcoming games because Dallas is a strong team fighting
for position as our opponent but our nearest rival, IND, is also playing tonight
but in a game they are probably expected to win. If we lose, we’ll relieve
some of the pressure our run has placed on them. If we win, they will feel more
pressure from our beating a good team. Our overtaking them may gain an aura
of inevitability in both their mind as well as ours.
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

I'm not sure this is a viable strategy to go with the 3-guard lineup against this team. Westbrook is guarding Luka right now and he is just too big for him. I'd like to see how Hachimura does on Luka. Either bring in a bigger player to guard Kleber, or put Westbrook on him.

The Hornets won by 13. And Indiana is currently leading OKC 90-48, lol.

He's pretty much unguardable, but I don't want Neto or Ish on him. Maybe use Matthews to pick up a few charges or Hutch.

Looking ugly so far. Wizards are missing layups and the Mavs can't miss 3's.

We need Bertans to get hot tonight. This game could get away from us quickly.

Beal definitely looks like he is forcing it.

Well, this ain't Cleveland, OKC, and Detroit. But it's also far from over. We need Anthony Gill!

Beal playing like utter shite. If he wants to be a top 10 player he needs to deal better with double teams

As soon as Beal dribbled the ball off his leg on the first play I knew this team wasn't ready mentally tonight.

Doncic looks like he's in pain every time he runs and is still getting to the basket with ease.

Exactly.

It's not over yet. The Wizards often start poorly and figure things out in the 2nd half.

I think we'll get back in this game when Beal starts getting hot in the second half or now. That an the fact that Dallas can't stay that hot from the 3-point line. They also don't have Porzingis. It's fun watching two different type of point guards with Luka vs. Russ.

Man, Westbrook is just refusing to let this team lose.

I'm really starting to love the guy.
