Would not surprise me at all if Detroit, Orlando, Minny, OKC and Cleveland all have 21 or 22 wins to finish the season. Going to go down to the last night or two for sure.

If the Pistons lose out, they will have sole possession of the 2nd worst record, and can pick no lower then 6th. That means they would have an 80% chance of landing a top 5, and a better then 50% chance at landing a top 4. You can't really get better odds then that.

If the Magic lose out as well then they're tied and both would have the same odds for all picks 1-7. If neither team gets a top 4 pick then a coin flip determines which teams picks 5th.

EDIT: Scratch that. Totally forgot that one of the remaining games is against the Magic.

Under normal circumstances you’d expect the Cavs (or any team) to win at least one of the games they aren’t expected to win.
