Injuries: Pre-All Star Break

Post#1 » by Parliament10 » Tue Apr 27, 2021 11:05 pm

Just continuing to keep a record; in an effort to include injuries in the whole NBA process.
Although I can't find it right now, I've read that an NBA team experiences 10% of Injuries, during a season.

https://www.momsteam.com/sports/basketball-injury-statistics-for-boys
Twenty-two percent of all male basketball players sustained at least one time-loss injury each year.

Kemba - Side Strain

Like George Costanza, injured due to placement of his wallet.

Have to feel bad for little Kemba.

So small, but has to carry around $140million.

Smart is getting better, at least he didn’t punch a picture frame and hurt his hand causing him to miss a month this time

But they are both so so bad. Like waters could be good if he didn't jack up shots like IT without actually making them

Exactly. Progress! And, hey, if an official made me shoot 1-10 from 3, I'd probably threaten him too.

That picture frame thing is from years ago and he seems to have grown since then. Just like “going into the stands” — that was college. I suggest we all move on.

Definitely could’ve directed his energy AND shooting better last night though.

He's currently suspended because he hasn't moved on.

When he returns he will continue to be picked on defensively by >75% of the league.

If the C's did indeed get vaxxed in NH on the 19th, 3 weeks for their booster would put them at a week from tomorrow, an off day when they are home.

But that's the day before a back-to-back and then they are on the road to end the season.

So my guess is that they'd schedule it for the next Monday, the 17th, which is the first day after the regular season ends. Then, especially if they hold on to seeding above the play-in, they'll have several days to recover.

At this point it's a foregone conclusion that this team isn't going to be healthy for the playoffs. The likely going to be down one or two key players, maybe not every game but I'd say three or four games.

FFS -- so when did Jaylen turn an ankle? Did we actually (gasp) PRACTICE? Or during walkthrough? Or at home? Or in the shower? Or while licking Covid off of the seats on the team bus?

Tatum says he should be fine.

Brown didn’t comment after the game and yelled out in pain when it happened. Seems like Brown’s injury is more serious of the two but both are being evaluated.
