What are the alternatives in terms of who we should be playing? You guys want to dust off TLC?

We're literally playing Mike James and Alize Johnson against a potential conference finals opponent, because our best PG (Harden) and our best big man (Claxton) are out.

It's a 3 point game at half time against another really good team. Yeah, we had a big lead at one point, so it's frustrating that we lost it, but this is still anyone's game, and neither Kyrie nor Durant are playing all that great, while every one of their big 3 (Giannis, Jrue, Middleton) are all having big games. If our guys heat up a bit, we're still in a great spot.

What I will say is that it looked like Griffin was playing really well in the limited minutes he got, maybe he could see more action in the 2nd half, as long as he doesn't get into foul trouble.

Yeah, I'd like to see more Blake, and I honestly think that Blake could do a better job than DJ against Giannis at this point. At least he might draw a charge or two.

We are missing a primary ball handler when Kyrie sits. Mike James is not a threat scoring and we are forced into iso ball using Durant. I think with Harden we are going to be unstoppable. Claxton is also a big missing piece. He is so much better at guarding perimeter with his length and we are giving way too many open 3 pointers.

I’d rather try Alize, Blake or KD on Giannis instead. DJ needs to just retire and GTFO already.

This is kind of like when Jordan played against Embiid. Started off ok, but then Embiid started going off and Jordan couldn't keep up at all.

Although, I really never expected Giannis to be hitting jumpers like this. That was always the thing that would literally make him a broken basketball player, if he was able to consistently hit jumpers. Can't really do much if he is.

We’re getting so little off-ball movement. I’d really like to some weak side back screens to open up cutters and shooters when KD or Kyrie isolate. Otherwise, we aren’t making the Bucks expend any energy to defend us while our best offensive players are overworking themselves trying to score and the rest of the players aren’t getting good shots that come in the flow of the offense.

It worked to a degree in the first meeting vs the Bucks and it started off promising today before turning into this. I think DJ can only give you a few quality mins at this point of his career, and that's a big maybe in the first place. He absolutely cannot be relied upon to play heavy minutes against superstars.

Jordan on Giannis clearly isnt working.

Also Il be the first to admit Im no fan of Shamet but he is a clearly liability even amongst bench players when hes overmatched and playing too many minutes.
