I don't understand why Boban wasn't ready to protect the ball. He knew there was a guy behind him.

Two bad breaks in a row for the Mavs. The difference between coming back or not.

Doncic is killing it from 2, but he takes an ugly stepback 3... And then a incredibly tough fade away from 20 feet.... After those last 3 misses by Luka, it has to be over.

At least, the Mavs are fighting, but why did they put themselves in that whole?

EDIT : Lol, the Mavs are scared to shoot the 3... they must have collectively passed 5 open 3s on that possession only to have Burke try a stepback 3 (jumping on the side). I mean...

Pathetic. There's no other word. 97 points against the worst defense in the league... missing maybe their two best players in Fox and Haliburton (in the 2nd half).

Luka should go work on his 3pt shot again. What happened? We all thought he was now a good shooter.

These refs shouldn't be allowed to officiate another NBA game. But i can't even blame them for this loss. Shooting 18% from the 3pt line on more than 30 shots is absolutely insane. Luka was the only starter with positive +/-. Insanely bad game from the team.

The Mavs were missing KP, THJ and DFS though... Oh wait, DFS was out there!

Is it too much to ask to have a 2nd guy with a little consistency? We're happy when a guy like DFS has a great game, but the game after he looks like he can't play in the league. It seems like no one other than Doncic can bring it more than 50% of the time.

I'm not sure why RC didn't keep playing Powell. At least, he was playing with energy and wasn't participating in the 3pt crapfest.

17% as a team from three point range. Unbelievable. The Kings have developed the blueprint on how to beat this team. Stay at home on the shooters and let Luka get his. He can drop 30 to 40 points a game and the team will still lose if his teammates are bottled up.

They didn't let Luka get his. The Mavs missed mostly open 3s (other the bad attempts by Luka).

He led the team in scoring and shot a high percentage. The point is that the Kings have beaten this team for the third time in the past several weeks. The rest of the team crapped the bed. This team is so bad that they could still lose even if he plays a practically perfect game.

I just looked at the remaining games and LA lost to SAC as well so they may be peaking. At any rate we seem to have a way easier schedule when you look at the remaining games that Portland and LA have so if we do not play like we are trying to lose we should win the 5th seed. LA and Portland even play each other in a game so we are gauranteed to gain a game on someone when that happens. We had guys resting so this game may have been winnable with their participation so I am hoping that this is the case and we are not as bad as it appears.

A game like this where everyone goes cold at the same time is rare but statistically speaking it is bound to happen when you play enough games. I just hope it is not going to happen again for a very long time.
