Who is our backup PF now? Is Ennis coming back? Smh if he does. Or is Wagner able to play PF as well?

Wagner can play 4/5. That bit of versatility and size makes him appealing.

I'm really interested to see how he does. Another high IQ player that plays tough. Just need him to bring energy, good screens, smart plays, rebound, and not be a liability on either end. If he can be more consistent with his shooting, he's the type of player I would've wanted to bring in this summer to backup our guys.

You'll do good things in this league and hopefully, for the Magic.

Actually, I was thinking of Jon Teske when I saw this thread.
What happened to Teske?

n/m, he's still on the Lakeland team.

Wow, he had a Vucevic style night!
How bizarre is that we move Vuc and we bring a player really similar to him. A slow big body who can shoot the three...

Wonder if he could become an Olynyk type player? I could see the Magic offering him a 2 or 3 year deal after the season.

I could see the Magic signing him to a non-guaranteed deal for next year, sure.

Some team will give him a guaranteed contract. He unfortunately ended up with 2 teams who have no wiggle room at all under the tax threshold.

It's almost like we got him in the Fournier deal. The Celtics gave themselves no room after that deal.

I also remember teams playing him at center, when it looks like an Olynyk type role would be better suited for him.

If he can find a deal for more than the minimum, then he should take it.

I'm would give him a guaranteed deal unless it's for the league minimum.

If the Magic offer him the minimum he won't be here. I think they give him at least 2 years 5m, with the second being a player option. That'll be like a continuation of his rookie deal.

There's just no need for that.

He was out of the league. He has no market. At absolute best he's a rotation guy at PF/C and likely less than that. Don't need to give multiple years to a guy like that unless they're non-guaranteed.

Yeah if we domt find anyone else better, give him an unguaranteed deal.. or do what we did woth Birch. Let him prove himself to earn a proper contract.

He's always been used as a five. He doesn't really have any value in that role. If we are going to kick the tires on him, it might as well be playing next to a five to see if he can flourish in a different role than the one he has had in his previous stops.

We gave Clark a 2 year 4.1m deal and Wagner is much better than him.

I disagree that he was almost out of the league. He's been on teams where it was a bad fit and they were trying to play him at center. He probably shopped around and chose the Magic this time, because of fit.

I remember Moe and WCJ both being the stars of the 2018 summer league. Maybe they both just needed fresh starts with more opportunity.

If we ended up in the 10th slot, I could see the Magic drafting his brother Franz.

I think Moe needs an Olynyk role. If you compare per 36 mpg averages, they're near identical.

Yes, but it doesn't mean you are out of the league, see MCW, that how he was brought here in 1st place.

Let's give the kid some time, he already scored 20+ for us once in two games.
