Lebron vs Curry in a 7/8 play-in?

Post#1 » by floppymoose » Tue May 4, 2021 4:46 am

Seems like it could happen? Expectations for the two teams were very different this year:
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30564545/nba-season-preview-new-rankings-projections-2020-21-opening-night
had LA #1 and GSW #15, but they could end up facing off in a play-in.

Dame vs. Steph seems more likely at this point

Naw Lakers will end up 5th or 6th.
Warriors stay 8th if they are lucky.
Doubt they can make up the 3 games against the blazers /Mavs.

It wont happen. It's not even a fair match up anyways. Lakers will crush GS even without lebron

Lakers most likely blow out Warriors but dubs have a punchers chance playing with house money as the most dangerous 8th seed.

Warriors have a chance vs other teams, but vs the Lakers it's a wrap.

Sorry , but all this talk here like the Lakers will beat Curry is a jinx. GSW has every chance in one game to beat LA.

There’s like a 5% chance they’ll match up at this point.

The Lakers win last night put them in the drivers seat for the 5/6, and looking at the Grizz final slate of games it’s likely Warriors land the 9 (chance at 8).

Lakers will stay at the 5 or 6 seed. Blazers, Dallas will lose alot of their remaining games. Lakers even without LeBron will still win a ton of games to finish the season, or go .500

You guys are overrating Dallas and Portalnd. Expecting them to win games is a stretch. Them playing .500 ball or even sub .500 to finish the season is more likely.

Lakers are not winning a ton of games to finish the season. We have lost 6 of 8 lately even w AD or Lebron or a combination of both. Last 7 games are mostly contending teams. We will be falling in the play-in most likely.

The warriors and dubs are about as evenly matched as two teams in nba history.

Who in the heck scheduled these things? Warriors have two REALLY good teams left and then a lot of fluff. Grizz have dallas and then fluff. How do two teams both get schedules like that?

Will be interesting to see the crazy over reactions these play in tournament games will generate here. 1 bad game and your out of the playoffs and are labelled a choker for at least a year

no one, including the LAL should want any part of Curry in a one game 'series'. of course, that game wouldn't be a lose and you're out scenario anyway as they get to play the winner of 9v10.

I see a 1 game series as a Game 7. LA has the best Game 7 player of all time, but I guess the whole Curry getting hot thing could be dangerous for sure.

Lebron has AD. Steph has... Wiggins?

It would be great of GS fans and bad for laker fans, judging by this board.

The Lakers should win and if they do, Steph has a G league team and its admirable that he was even an 8th seed.

And Lawd, if GS were to upset LA, it cements Steph as the greatest sportsman to even play anything competitive from bidwiz to bball.

Just the way it breaks, and to be fair it’s not always clear who will become a very good team or not. I do know the Warriors had the 2nd toughest schedule for most of the year.
