Obviously whoever ends up sucking in big moments, but assuming there's not an obvious scapegoat then KD is the biggest target. He left a super team situation only to land with another one, and he also is the biggest star and most accomplished player among the three. He's full-on NBA royalty and is expected to do great things, so he has the most to lose if he can't one-man his way to the Finals with these teammates.

I think it’s between harden and KD . We’ve clowned Irving enough where he’s non factor in that regard

I think if the nets get bounced the roasting will make the Clippers look pale in comparison

I wouldn’t blame any of them individually- I think collectively it will just be regret that they couldn’t stay healthy and it’s been a year unlike any other with covid.

They’ll still have time to get it together and mesh on the court and get healthy next season. I think they’ll be fine in the long run, this was a 2-4 year run.

Or none of them will get much blame because they won't be healthy in the playoffs.

Don't forget rookie coach Steve Nash who seems to be letting the inmates run the prison there....

They will all get the blame but
Mostly KD because he will be the first one to run to twitter to make excuses for why they failed.....

Kyrie will then post some long diatribe on IG about how 'It's just a game, life is bigger than this!!!"

Harden legit being hurt helps his case, but if he plays and fizzles out again he will get mocked plenty.

I kinda hope it ends up being the Knicks that take the blame for knocking them out in a series.

Esp in the year it was supposed to be this...

I'm a Bulls fan but I can't think of anything more I want to see than playoff Knick basketball and watching them crush the superteam across town with gritty Thibs era ball.

Just imagine that series and intensity.

to think I was bummed we got cheated out of the battle of LA last year.
scrap that - a battle for NYC between the resurgent Knicks and that superteam across town could be EPIC

If the Nets don't make the finals RealGM'ers will have a field day with crackpot Kyrie theories and terrible trade proposals.

All of them, but I think a better question would be who would trash each other the loudest. Irving in interviews or Durant on Twitter?

None of the players are going to take the blame people are just going to say injuries.

It will be worst than the clippers losing

KD and Harden alone are better than PG/Leonard. Plus east is easier to get to finals.

I'm not so sure about that in 2021.

I think that'd be great too, but I just can't talk myself into the Knicks being a good team like that. Thing about hard-nosed teams that have a good coach keeping them disciplined and aggressive is that that's enough to beat the bad teams consistently and the medium teams much of the time, and the good teams occasionally but not much. That allows them to hover over .500 and rattle off some good streaks but they're not exactly dangerous in the PO when all the teams are trying that hard and bringing their A game every night.

I think the Knicks follow that pattern closely. Their record against the bottom third of the league is like 18-5 and against the top half of the league is something like 8-20. The slow-paced grind-it-out style runs into a talent gap at some point and I think the Knicks will hit that soon. Now let me have it, Knicks fans.

all three have to play. two won't do it
therefore all three take the credit or blame
