Dennis Schroder is expected to miss 10-to-14 days

Post#1 » by iamworthy » Mon May 3, 2021 4:34 pm

First off I hope everything is ok with him.

Chams reporting he's out for 10-14 days. Seems like a great opportunity to bring him of the bench going into the 1st round of the playoffs.

THT
KCP
LeBron
AD
Gasol

Caruso isn't the same player this year as he was last season... He seems stronger, and his 3s are falling a little more frequently, but he's not as quick and isn't the stopper he was last season for us... He's also much slower to react when running the offense than our other options.

I didn't think he looked that good last night... Whereas, between last night and the Kings game, THT and Gasol, both looked great for us on offense... THT makes some mistakes on D, but no more than KCP and 2021 Caruso... But the offense looks so much better with him and Gasol on the court.

What is Dennis doing voluntering Lebron's Medical information and why the hell aren't both of them vaccinated to begin with?

What good would getting vaccinated do? He'd still be held out if he came in contact with someone with Covid.

Vaccination allows players and teams to move more freely. The nba lifts restrictions for people that are vaccinated.

https://www.nba.com/news/nba-tells-teams-rules-will-be-relaxed-for-vaccinated-persons

The contact tracing part of the new rules will be a major benefit. Being flagged by contact tracing has been an issue for many players this season including Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, both of whom had to miss the All-Star Game and the start of the season’s second half because a barber that they visited tested positive — but they did not. Had they been fully vaccinated, they would not have had to miss any time even after being around someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Oh, I wasn't aware they made that change... I haven't seen details about LeBron and Schroder and why Schroder is out either. What's the connection?

In a german interview last week, he revealed lebron and himself weren't vaccinated. Now, that he's missing time due to covid, the article is making its runs

I think you only have to sit out if you were vaccinated but got a positive just in case as steve clifford had to do with the magic, and rick carilisle earlier this season but other than that, you're pretty much free to move around.

further more, Dennis has been having vlogs, some included him going to amusement parks and out to eat.

seems like in violation of nba code, but whatever.

Dumb ass. First, you don't get vaccinated in order to avoid these protocols; then you go mess around town and actually catch COVID. I can't even imagine a more irresponsible way to conduct yourself in this environment. All of these idiocy goes on your record in free agency, Dennis.

This explains his questionable team defense, staring himself blind on ‘his’ guy.

Schroder is a talented player for sure, but this guy has been a "me first" guy ever since he got traded here. At this point, in all honesty, if we can do a sign and trade with him, I would just let him leave. He fancies himself some iconic star when he is a barely above average player in the NBA. Screw him.

Don't get me wrong, I would rather have Rondo here, or even Lonzo or Patty Mills, but instead we have him. Choosing not to get vaccinated is reprehensible, but I just cringe when we pick and chose who to hate for whatever reason and then excuse other players for doing it.
He gets crucified for committing many turnovers but when AD, Lebron and THT do it, nobody seems to care.
One fan hated that he can't hit 3 pointers but at the same time loves THT who can't shoot above 27% from 3.

He gets crucified for turning down the extension, and using the Lakers as a springboard into free agency while never intending to sign here long term... He gets crucified for demanding a starting spot on a team where guys like Kuzma, Caruso, KCP, Marc Gasol, are all adamant that they are simply here to fulfill any role asked of them... Trez, Kief, Drummond, etc too... He's pretty much the only one demanding a starting spot...
He gets crucified for being mediocre at best in that starting role...
The turnovers are just one example of that...

Wow, are you sure he NEVER intended to sign long term here bec like at least 90% of the players, they have the ULTIMATE objective to get the maximum pay and Dennis is one of them. If you think Lebron came in here for the sole purpose of just helping this team win a ring without any monetary consideration=business opportunities plus family preference, then I have a bridge to sell you!
Sure a few guys like Kief and Trez gave a discount to be here, to WIN THE RING, for their own personal satisfaction, NO WAY they come here 4 years ago when Lebron is not here. Those ring chasers in Brooklyn already got paid a large sum before so now they just want to win the chip ...
Schroder wants to start, to show case his abilities= to get the maximum $, is he greedy? yes, but so are most players. Duncan, LMA, went on a mini tour to see what is BEST for them. Wade left Miami, Lebron changed teams 4 times. Yes, most players stay but it is still BASED on their personal agenda and mostly never about just sacrificing $ just to help this team win esp if that chance is slim.
You mentioned Marc? well he pouted the second he found out Drummond signed here, and I don't blame him.
Going back to your assertion that he gets crucified for wanting out and yet you firmly believed he is a mediocre starter?
So make up your mind, Do you want him to sign the MAXIMUM extension EVEN THOUGH YOU STRONGLY BELIEVE, HE IS A MEDIOCRE STARTER?

If you join a team who just won rings, and demand to start; people will expect you to be good enough to be a starter on the championship team. Elite. Bulls eye is on your back. Fans of Dennis, perhaps don’t complain about high expectations for Dennis?

If he then says no to extension offers because he can catch more money later (putting himself over the team) ... If you then disregard vaccine protocol twice because you put yourself over your team ... If your team defense is more like man defense because you put yourself over your team ...

Yeah, we should sign and trade Dennis after we repeat. Maybe to Pop and the Spurs. Kuzma and Schröder should net us some solid trade return. Especially if we repeat.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.
