IF we can't win this game might as well just rest everyone till the playoffs like the Lakers are doing. It won't make a difference what seed we are if we continue to look how we are, and at the rate we can throw out all the excuses about "injuries" and have time to rest and practice.
Raptors still fighting for their lives and have Kawhi stopper Nurse at the helm, I hope for the best but we'll see...
As reference for last time we played (a long time ago December 2019).. Kawhi had 23 pts, Harkless had 14 and 7 rebounds, Lou Will 18 6 8, Montrez 10 6 4, Patterson 11 7 2. PG had only 13 and Zu had only 7 but w 8 rebounds.
By contrast our defense was stifling giving up only 92 pts. We let Siakam (24), Powell (now gone, 22) get going, but other than Terrence Davis at 10 pts, held the rest of the team to under double digit points.
This is why a major issue with our depth is still lacking w this team from an offensive perspective. Montrez would have bene perfect, but we will now need to rely on Morris tonight and a combo of the inconsistent Reggie, Kennard, Batum squad to make up for it. I worry without Ibaka this game Siakam will run wild.

Can't take them lightly or they will do to us what they did to the Lakers.

The real must win game was the Suns game, but alas..
We can't rely whatsoever on Ibaka in the playoffs. It's just not going to happen and like the KD injury and Bev, wouldn't surprise me if he plays and then has to leave that same game bc he re-aggrevates something. That's too bad, he was a fantastic addition, really missing Jamychal and Trez right now..
Having Bev come off the bench.. pretty much the exact scenario that happened the LAST time he re-injured himself and was out for 3 weeks. I'd rather he start as he is used to w his routine and play literally 4 minutes and then come out rather than have him come off the bench. If he gets re-injured again, like Serge going to put him on my "can't count on at all" come playoff time..
Back to no T-Mann starting. Sigh. However, this is the perfect game matchup wise for Reggie to thrive in. He's very boom or bust so I'm fine with it since this is purely a morale game for us.
We clearly have the talent advantage, so going to be a lot of soul searching if its another L. I like our chances though if Ty had the team in the film room since the last game..

The last couple of games have all felt sorta like ‘must win‘, but to be honest none of them are.

Given we had a golden opportunity to go for the 1 seed and play the Spurs or Grizzlies vs a now more likely matchup of Mavs or Lakers, I'd say it was must win.

The only thing we can’t do IMO is fall out of the top 3/4.
I get your point, but I guess ‘must win’ can be sort of a relative term. The Suns game was a really really important game, but losing it doesn’t mean we don’t still have a chance in the playoffs.

IMO that Pelican game was the bigger loss given the odds of winning it should have been a gimme compared to a very tough Suns team. After that game I knew were in bad shape
I'm on the expectation we are a championship contending team. It's not a win to make it to the WCF when PG and Kawhi are only getting older and capped out. Hence the importance of getting lucky w matchups

Paul George attacking the basket particularly in the 5:30 mark vs. taking that deep 2 is exactly what he needs to be doing!! Nice.
I'm so baffled why some games he looks perfectly in control like the start of this game and others just looks totally out of sorts.

I cant think of a worse lineup than Rondo Bev and Batum... WHERE IS T MANN???
Gotta say it's frustrating when our offensive looks good and we're still losing. Hopefully they gas out and don't have the depth, forgot if Toronto has much of it.
Morris looks fantastic!!! And he'd look even better with a bigger role lol
What is concerning is how confident the Raptors look, teams just dont seem afraid of playing the Clippers.
Lue's lineups are iffy and it seems like he's making TMann low men on the guard group now. Let's hope that changes to start the 2nd..
Batum needs to hit the bench. NOW.

Siakam has been having a very tough time the past two seasons, at least compared to their championship season, he's certainly not a first option, though I don't think anyone expected him to be.
Cousins has been interesting to me, his last 5 games, 16.4 mpg, 12/8/55% FG (2.2 turnovers, but that's always been a problem for him). Obviously as a former star player, he has skills, he certainly looks like a guy the team can find usefulness for in the post-season, especially with Ibaka who still has no return timeline.
