Regardless, the fact that he started the year so terribly and was able to turn it around and get some league recognition in the end despite this deserves a lot of credit.
Hopefully he remains consistent and puts in the work to improve.

So we got our backup PG. Now we gotta face the dread of losing the GROAT unless we wanna move on from Freddy (higher value). Bring back KLow and ease him into a bench role in a couple years. Options.

Still not sure how the Raps find success with two smaller PG, but stranger things have happened.
We are going to draft a shooting guard to pair with Fred. Malachi is going to anchor a strong second unit that might include 6th man GTjr, Yuta, Boucher, Gillespie. Nurse with younger players will have to go 10 in the rotation or he won't develop anyone.

I think the Raptors are still jammed up with SG's.

Flynn might turn out to be another guy who could have went in the lottery had the draft been done again just like OG, Fred, Siakam, and Norm would all be lottery picks if teams could re-choose their picks.
Yeah except these players most likely don't become as good as they are now without the Raptors' development.

Huh. It's almost like it takes time to adjust from playing against college teens to facing grown men in the world's best league? Weird

Re: Malachi Flynn Rookie of the month.
Flynn's shot went away on him but it will come back, he has good form. He has shown some playmaking skills in recent games along with solid D for his size.
2 games ago, he threaded a brilliant bounce pass past a couple of Bulls, hitting Harris on the right wing for a nice dunk on the break. The kind of pass FVV never makes.

There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Nurse said in the post game that he needs to work on his shot.
In other respects he's doing well.
I expect the shot to be much improved next year. That bodes well for the team.

Wasn't SD State like 30-3 and at 1 point the #1 team in the nation? If there was a tourney and they made it to say the elite 8, he'd be getting the Davion Mitchell treatment. Mitchell was an early 20's prospect with Jared Butler before the tourney.
I think he could've went #21 instead of Maxey.

They are a good defensive team from stats.
They lost to Utah State, where they could score much (shooting .385 against Sam Merrill and Queta: https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/boxscores/2020-03-07-17-san-diego-state.html)
