If we keep playing like this, we won't win another game.

WOW Just saw Myles and others have to restrain asst. coach Greg Foster from going at Goga. Definitely issues when an asst. coach acts out like he just did. That was so uncalled for to be so mad at a player he has to be restrained !

lol @ tanking. No Pacers just are so out of sorts that nothing is easy and they just flat out suck. 20 turnovers, LeVert shooting bad tonight, poor defense.

Atlanta is in tomorrow night and old Nate gonna laugh at the Pacer management and feel a bit justified with a win. I can't stand old Nate but he's rallied the Hawks team to be consistent and winners something new Nate hasn't been able to figure out.

At around 0:30 in that clip
Domas: "Screw this s***, I'm out"

I don't like this at all
I don't think Goga did anything to warrant that kind of outburst from that assistant coach
It looks like that assistant coach was just venting his frustrations with how everything has been going this season, and Goga happened to be the unlucky victim
I mean, if that assistant coach cared so much about defense, why didn't he yell at LeVert or Lamb or TJ or Brogdon when they fail to rotate?
Goga is just a convenient target for him, it feels
Great to see Myles being so supportive of Goga though. Myles really is the best Pacer on this team

He didn’t rotate to attack that drive (which was a lost cause in timing, it appeared), Foster yelled, Goga hit a 3, and Foster was still yelling. Goga told him to “Sit the F*** down” and Foster erupted. Neither’s perfect in this confrontation, but Goga is by FAR less problematic, in my opinion. Goga’s issue would be fixed, hypothetically, by sitting him and telling him he’s sitting until he attacks everything, yada yada yada.

Most likely scenario here. Have to agree this is likely the whole season just boiling over. Foster is seeing his job slip away, the players are frustrated with losing, etc.

Yeah, saw a lot of comments about Foster being from Oakland, high school teammates with Gary Payton, and that he doesn’t take crap from anyone. Which, great, when you’re an enforcer. Absolutely can’t be that way when you’re an NBA coach.

Honestly, throughout the whole Vic situation, the injuries, and this coaching explosion, Myles has handled himself with class and has appeared to be a great teammate. Vic’s sister attacked him on Twitter, and he addressed it with one sentence, and it never made news again. His injuries hurt the team, but he was first one off the bench to help Goga and teach during games. And with this Foster explosion, he immediately went to stop Foster, turn him around, and went straight to Goga to coach him up. Maybe it’s all a show, but it appears he’s doing it right as a leader. Not to say no one else did either. It was good to see all the players get in the way and tell Foster to turn around, and come back to focus on being together as teammates. If anything, I’d like to see the guys just play a lot of man defense the rest of the way, and just be encouraged to play for each other.

His reaction with Foster was great, some of his other reactions (towards a troll and towards NBA writers writing about DPOY) were signs of weakness. Perhaps the Pacers should be special again and make all the people in the Pacers organisation leaders. The towel boy correcting Pritchard , that should be a real option and great leaders are strong enough to accept critics from everyone.

Goga's words against a person with authority are problematic and hint responsibility. Could be listening too much and snapping, could be listening poorly and snapping some more.
We don't know the details, but I would suspend Goga. If the highest in command demands only this level of respect (for authority), I find it no surprise that this happened to us. Fines work poorly among millionaires. I also hope it ain't FOMO the playoffs.

I am seconding that Myles was great stepping in for his teammate and even though the Pacers record has been 500 since he’s been out his defense has greatly been a huge downfall. They probably would have won a few more games and in my eyes he’s not expendable. I really hate to see Domas go as his passing or play making when not forced is so good.

Foster suspended one game. Goga fined.
