I definitely had Derozan high on my list, though I suppose cost wise 21 FGA for a SG isn't really worse than Jefferson or Howard's for a big man

His offensive portability is pretty bad though which I think matters more for a guard. And he's a terrible defender to boot.

You don't even get the benefit of the improved playmaking he's shown in the last few years.

You guys won't believe this, but I one time took Isaiah Thomas of my own volition in one of these, and somehow got to the Finals (where I ran into Magic Johnson lol)

Honestly pretty happy to get him, one of my all time favorite seasons as a fan

Aldridge (expensive and inefficient but too good and too good a fit)

Lee, Baker, Coleman- not expensive enough.

Nique- Regret this one a little since he wasn’t picked.

Could be tricky to build around Magic/Howard but I think getting out of the first two rounds with only 31 FGA spent is a solid position.

The Howard pick annoys me more than I thought it was going to since having PF open in Rd 2 would be nice

Take a moment to appreciate the fact that my first 2 picks were traded for each other.

That doesn’t happen often. Kawhi is a perfect fit for this premise in general- I needed a clutch all round guy who didn’t break the bank. I thought he and another guy I passed on might have gone higher. Passed on a lot of big guys.
