Yeah I would agree, and this coming from a Jericho fan. The whole part with Jake was so staged, while Santana's was really organic

Hope they figure it out eventually

It genuinely seemed like he had no idea what he was going to say when he got out there (which I’m sure he’s more than capable of pulling off, but not this time).

Thought the ending to the show was puzzling. Why on earth did Sky and Page attack Darby/JB, and why should anyone care about them? It’s just so weird that out of nowhere they’re thrown into a prime time spot to bring the show home.

AEW needs to be so much tighter than it currently is. They try to get as many people on TV every week, and it just ends up being a ridiculous sight. Not everyone needs to be on TV. Then guys like Cody, Hangman, Archer, Cage will kind of get thrown by the wayside — directionless with no clear feud for weeks/months.

An alright show last night, wasn’t a fan of about half of it . It was all over the place, for me.

Cage/Hangman was a great match to start. Generally not a fan of all the pre-match/post match antics, but it got heat on Cage and gave Hangman an out for this loss. But again, the Dark Order job guys all over my screen to start the show was annoying. I’m all for them continuing a feud, but get Hangman away from DO.

Not a fan of the Page/Sky and Darby angle (Page just immediately has go away heat with me). Also, why is Sting constantly needed in Darby’s corner despite him going up against baby faces ? It makes no sense. Dark Order have been baby faces for months, and Jungle Boy/Luchasaurus have never cheated to win, but all of a sudden Sting needs to have Darby’s back and he’s brawling with Luchasaurus and warding off the DO? It’s annoying to see, and this is all so beneath Sting. I like the pairing with Darby but only do it when need be/when it makes sense to — not every week.

Caught most of the Statlander/Ford match. Like both girls, but that was some real sloppy ****.

The IC/Pinnacle face off was pretty good. Good promos all around by pretty much everyone — it was well done. I feel like there’s no need for them to keep saying “promo” on TV, though. It takes me out of the moment when a wrestler acknowledges that they’re doing a promo — you’re supposed to be legitimately angry/emotional and fired up, not doing, or much less mentioning a “promo” on screen.

Darby and 10 had a solid match. The size difference was good and allowed both guys to work well off one another. Before the match, 10 did a backstage promo and it just did nothing for him. For this big brute in a mask to just sound like a regular guy from down the street, with no emotion or bass in his voice was a little bit of a let down.

Yeah, a little too much inside sports on the promos, but Jericho was brilliant and outdid MJF. Otherwise, the show was ok but uninspired.

Andrade called out Omega at AAA Rey de Reyes. Yes. Going to go ahead and nominate that for MOTY before it even happens.

First and foremost, that was a terrific match. Violent as hell, but told a good story and should go a long way in continuing to build MJF. War Games matches in general I love and is fantastic when you have stables.

But the very end, once again, disappoints. After such a violent hard hitting match, he fell off the cage onto a very soft surface. Like the exploding ring, the optics at the end just took away from the brutal match that preceded it. Of course Jericho won’t be falling that distance onto “steel”, but if it isn’t going to look realistic don’t even bother with the spot.

Lmao. After that last ppv i gave up. My only exposure to AEW is clips I see on Twitter. That Jericho bump had me crying.

Poor JR was trying to sell it but you could hear it in his voice that it was the absolute sh*ts. (In a completely normal voice) “Let’s get some doctors out here quick.”

I had high hopes when this company was announced but they truly are a mix of TNA, $5 Indy wrestling and a backyard fed.

MJF "pushing" Jericho off the cage was a fail. No man would've budged with that amount of nudge

I swear I did not read this before my post! But yea it perfectly describes my problem with the end. Obviously don’t put the wrestler in danger but if you can’t visually pull it off to make it look realistic, don’t freakin bother doing the spot.

I really enjoyed this.
Although the bump to end the show was stupid. Especially considering the big fail at the previous ppv.

Good thing this wasn't another ppv.

Man, gotta say that PAC v OC is super disappointing as a number one contenders match. I just don’t understand the logic, at all. Moxley has still been pursuing Omega still, and Hangman was the “number one ranked” wrestler for the longest time but didn’t get an opportunity. PAC hasn’t been on TV consistently (I can’t even remember his last match) and OC is miserably undeserving of this spot.

As for the Blood & Guts match, the ending was the only downfall in an otherwise enjoyable match.

I genuinely think Cody is one of the best promos in the business. I just don’t get how it feels like it’s been months since his last uninterrupted promo. He should be doing what he did last night every other week. He nails those baby face promos. Few in the wrestling business can deliver as impassioned and quality a promo as Cody.

I like Miro going over. Loved the line he had last week too: “we’ll see what happens when the man who doesn’t man dying, meets the man that doesn’t mind killing him.” The match was good. Just wish Miro didn’t waste all that time with Kip because it soured people on him. Also, all the ringside nonsense is so unnecessary. Wayyy too much going on. Sting, Sky/Page, Dark Order, Lance, Jake, etc — all just slammed into that last segment.

Rhodes has turned into a great promo but I don't think I'd point to last night as an example.

I am so excited for Archer vs. Miro, this was my dream matchup with how both guys have been demolishing anyone in front of them.

I always thought to myself... now imagine if these two paths managed to meet? And Tony Khan actually did it.

I am so hyped for that.

This PPV card is looking stacked although I hate the Pinnacle/IC immediate rematch. MJF should’ve remained firm on the “no.”

A pretty forgettable/underwhelming episode of Dynamite.

Why does Archer get a title shot? Why doesn’t Darby get a rematch? I think it’s too soon to put these two together, with virtually no build also. And then Archer’s going to have to lose which sucks for him because he hasn’t had any big wins since coming to AEW.

Sting/Darby vs Sky/Page is official for Double or Nothing... they couldn’t find two better, more over guys than these two to have share the ring for Sting’s in ring return ? This just strikes me as ridiculous and both guys (Sky/Page) have go away heat with me.
