It's a marketing tie-in with one of the biggest franchises in all of entertainment. Whoever booked this deserves a raise no matter how lame you or I may find it. This is a great cross-promotion particularly with the younger audiences American sports leagues are finding it harder and harder to reach.

Just looking at their schedule and the Bucks have a pretty easy remaining SOS. They might have a shot at the 2 seed.

Also this gets interesting, though you can now have both big men 1st team which I like.

Why don't they just get rid of positions? What's the point in pretending Jokic and Embiid are power forwards

They should do it like they do it with the all-star game - two backcourt and three frontcourt players.

If that's the case then the following makes sense to me:

Jokic
Embiid
Giannis
Luka
Curry

Would've removed strange instances like Deandre Jordan making an all nba team too, I much prefer this.

We already do it with guards, potentially being able to have two point guards etc, why not just follow this format so the best players get rewarded?

I wouldn't have Embiid in the discussion anyways - pretty clear top 6 RS guys for me: Jokic/Gobert>Gianis/Steph/Kawhi/Luka.

KD's defense has gotten concerning. He was never a guy blowing up plays off-ball but now he's pretty much nonexistent as a rim protector and has been getting bodied inside. Against guards, it's not looking like he can stay with a lot of guys off the dribble. I just can't see this Nets defense getting meaningfully better to prevent getting killed in the paint in the playoffs. They're just gonna have to rely on outscoring everyone.

I feel a narrative blowing up where Harden becomes seen as the true alpha which leads to another wave of mockery toward KD that hasn't responded well to any time it's happened.

Harden is certainly better than Durant now but I'm not sure if the mainstream media/general populace will widely acknowledge it yet. Durant still has a lot of clout in his name.

Don't think they ever will.

I could see Durant having a monster series that further prevents that.

I think so too, he seems pretty poise to put up big numbers in the post season as he usually does. Unless the announcers point it our or there's a holy grail of memes it seems unlikely that people will notice how bad his defense is.
