Taking a break from all fighting for a little bit after seeing a dude's leg fall off last week. Gonna re-evaluate my life and the choices I've made that led to viewing that.

Ruiz-Arreola was a fun scrap. Only had Arreola winning two rounds, including a 10-8 with the KD in 2, but he was game. Ruiz righted the ship, although - literally right when I was putting this post together - Arroela put the directive to the judges to "suck his mfing dick." My card would have been 117-110. Ruiz still looks to be 3rd at heavy behind Wilder and Fury, who is far and away the class of the division but is so mercurial that who knows what happens each time he steps in the ring.

Ray Flores said "This is an all-time classic" in round 2, words that would make Kevin Harlan blush. I'm sure many of you are aware how I feel regarding Kevin Harlan.

This was a fun fight. It was not Holmes-Norton.

As a young kid, I was talked into watching Faces of Death, which was real video of people dying. No idea why I watched it, but have had no interest in watching anyone die or get severely injured since.

Got it last Thursday, took Friday off in anticipation. Only symptoms were sleepiness and mild brain fog. Took a long nap late morning Friday, got up and cleaned the house, cooked dinner, went to bed "early". Saturday still had a little residual mental cloudiness, but otherwise fine, had a normal day outside with the kids enjoying the weather. By the afternoon (48 hours post vac) was totally normal.

All in all I would describe it as similar and less severe to taking a muscle relaxer, which I once did accidentally in the morning, realized my mistake on the train into work, and let me tell you it did not go well.

Saturday still had a little residual mental cloudiness, but otherwise fine, had a normal day outside with the kids enjoying the weather. By the afternoon (48 hours post vac) was totally normal.

All in all I would describe it as similar and less severe to taking a muscle relaxer, which I once did accidentally in the morning, realized my mistake on the train into work, and let me tell you it did not go well.

I’m jealous! I had my second one yesterday, everything was going fine. I actually didn’t even have the evening onset of arm soreness that I had the first time. Slept great, felt fine when I first woke up, but the second I got out of bed it fell apart. I started shivering, I could barely walk, horrible headache. I have zero energy, I’ve been alternating between freezing and warm all day, sometimes at the same time (it’s weird when one foot is freezing and the other one is super warm), head still killing me. I was barely able to take my poor dog out this morning. Hopefully it passes soon.

This was basically my second shot experience also. If yours continues to playout like mine, just rest it out as much as possible and you'll basically be back to normal again tomorrow. I had light headaches for about a week, but nothing like day 2.

Rest with your eyes closed as much as possible. After about 30 minutes of not moving I started to see some relief.

I think Wilder's done. He took punishment against Ortiz and Fury dismantled him. Andy has great hands and a tremendous chin, so if Wilder gets him, I think Ruiz can weather it.

Joshua is simply too big for Usyk. I'm not much of an AJ fan, but I don't see him struggling in that one.

The shivers were super uncomfortable for me. I've never experienced anything like it. Thankfully, it only lasted like half an hour.

As a young man I took a muscle relaxer whilst having a few beers with friends on a Sunday afternoon when I was at uni. It's the only time I've ever taken one, years and years later I still have a very clear memory of playing cards and suddenly realising I couldn't actually play a card from my hand as I didn't have the energy then proceeding to slowly, slowly slump down to put my head on the table.

Powerful things, although I imagine the advice on the label suggests "don't consume after working all night, studying all morning then drinking heavily".

Wilder almost took out Fury in that first fight, and he's always been a one-hitter-quitter kind of fighter. I think Joshua has some softness in him that Ruiz exploited; I don't think that applies to Wilder. But it all depends on the Andy who shows up, ultimately. I think a motivated Fury is the class of the division, but he's pretty mercurial.

Glad you're back on your feet! A day of misery is worth it. My mind feels so much more at ease (though not careless by any stretch).
