First three quarters a much different Pacer team tonight. Scrappy defensive effort, LeVert hitting shots today, and good transition points. Atlanta has a lot of talent and the 4th quarter will be rough especially if Pacers don't close out on 3 point shooters which Atlanta has deadly options.

Nice win. Magic numbers to clinch 10th getting small.

Yeah. Even for those rooting for the tank, it was really nice to see everyone play well. Aaron really had a great game. Obviously, Levert and Sabonis did, too. And TJ was, well, TJ.

In the battle of banged up squads Charlotte shoots horrible and the tanking Bulls win tonight. Probably too late for the Bulls to make 10th.

Looking like Charlotte might slide all the way down to 10th due to injuries leaving the Pacers in 9th and Washington soon to be in 8th.

Was surprised to see Toronto take the Wizards to O.T. even though they obviously have had a lost season and have been tanking for a long time due to injuries ect.

I'm super surprised to see the win here. Maybe with all the drama around, guys are trying to buckle down and focus.

Me too plus they got Lavine back and won again tonight. To make the playoffs I believe they have to win out and hope Charlotte loses the rest or the Pacers go 2-4 because they have the tie breaker in both instances.

My way too early postseason prediction:

Pacers are going to beat both Wizards and Hornets in the play in games, on the road no less, to earn the 8th seed. And then they'd be swept by the top seed, and go to the draft with #15, instead of #12 with a 7.1% chance at a top 4 pick if they had just lost the play ins like they were supposed to

It's just what this team does

Maybe. But after what this team has seen this year, that would be impressive dedication to get back to the playoffs. That kind of work ethic is hard to develop, and easy to lose, in a group of guys.

I have Washington as the 7th seed if that's possible and the Celtics as 8th. Then Milwaukee and Philly ending both of their seasons respectively in their series. Pacers probably get the 11th or 12th pick. I don't think Pelicans will win enough to pass up the Pacers final record to drop us any lower.

That’d be tough. Boston is up 4 on Washington, and they only have 5 left to play, with Boston holding the tiebreaker there. 1 loss for Washington, or 1 win for Boston, and Washington can’t make up that ground.

Ok wasn't sure if they played each other to see who got 7th. So Boston 7th and Washington 8th and still both get wiped in playoffs.

They only have to pass Pacers and Hornets to be 8th. Then if they win the 7/8 play-in they're the 7 seed

We were talking seeding for the play in games. Not after the result of them.

I know but the format reduces the difference between 7 and 8 and between 9 and 10. The home court isn't the usual huge advantage with limited crowds.

Sure. I get what you’re saying, but that doesn’t change that Washington can’t get to the 7 seed for the play-in. It many minimize the import of it, but not that their odds are very long for the position.

Boston's magic number with Wiz holds at 1 with tonight's win.

In looking at the west race. I'm looking at win loss percentage. Spurs are not a dumb organization. Look at their tough remaining schedule. They could lose out and pass teams and become 10th position in draft if other teams continue to win in east trying to get in playoffs. Would pass N.O., Wash., Indy, and maybe Charlotte if they keep sliding.

This screwed up season of covid who knows what is more valuable making the playoffs to probably lose in play in or to host more games with not many fans for small revenue for owners expenses. I have to think there's not a lot to gain if a team isn't already very bad and at the top of the draft, but it's interesting to watch it play out.
