Every game Towns is in foul trouble. Teams are scouting that too and attacking him more to take him out. It's a good strategy, get Towns flustered, he will take himself out of the game and the wolves are much easier to deal with. He needs to step his mental game up this off-season.

The scouting book on Towns seems to be to play him with extreme physicality, because if the refs aren't making calls he'll get frustrated and do something stupid.

It's a vicious cycle. Refs don't give him calls, he gets frustrated and whines, refs hold a grudge and dont want to give him calls, teams are now seeing and this and playing him physical, he doesn't get calls, he whines, refs hold grudge, etc.

This wasn't a problem before but it is now, he needs to address but putting an end to the complaining and playing much smarter. Pete mentions his sloppy technique. Also the wolves being much better will help as the refs wont be able to let the team get destroyed on the national scene if they are playing well.

He does need to stop whinign I agree but he's not a super strong guy, Towns is strong enough but compared to other centers he's pretty weak-mediocre in size and power. That's just not his game or strength. He still needs to play smarter but he does have a ton of power.
