Ayo is similar to Langford. Both long playmaking guards, who can defend. from the same recruiting class. Romeo was top 5, whereas Ayo was top 30... Romeo was better as a freshman in college. Ayo really improved his three point shot this year, but has a low release on his shot.

Ayo and romeo are nothing alike.

Ayo is superior at everythibg to romeo amd is far closer to westbrook than romeo

Romeo would have dominated as a college junior just like Ayo did... I'm an Illinois fan, so watch lots of Big 10 ball and seen Ayo a lot.

Celtics seem to just get two type of prospects, scared ones hiding under a desk and loud as well as obnoxious ones who shoot the ball a thousand times a game and miss most of the shots.

I mean just watch him play. He isn't lazy on the court. Oh no, he plays fortnite. I play fortnite too. Every NBA player plays a **** ton of video games.

If he's only as good as Ben Simmons, an All-NBA player, oh no the horror. Although he's obviously not nearly the talent that Simmons is. Simmons is the DPOY and the best transition player in basketball. Scottie Barnes is a Draymond/Diaw player if he gets there and he has massive bust potential. But if Celtics pick at 17, I'm willing to take a chance on a high bust player.

Let me make my stance clear on SB going forward. At 18ish I would definitely take a good look. I have acknowledged his high talent level. Just pointing out that he may have some work/character issues that need to be addressed.

Maybe he turns out to be the forward version of your boy Andre Drummond

Scottie Barnes defensive potential and versatility may be elite. but shooting 27% from 3 and only 62% from the FT in a ERA of spread it out shooters has to be factored in.

Oh I absolutely think there is a high chance he is a trash NBA player, but like you say, at 17/18, I'll take the risk unless someone falls down the draft board unexpectedly.

Yes, I am certain that Ainge will build his roster in such a way that he believes the team will be able to play even if the rookies don't contribute immediately. Similarly, I am certain no matter what position any rookie seems best suited for, there will be non-rookies on the roster who play that position too.

Going up to last years draft I was looking at college stats like transition pt% and something like usage stats like how often a player ran pick and roll and such. Anyone know what site I might have been looking at?

Filip Petrusev is a guy that most mocks have in the second round but he has been playing great in the ABA league. I would certainly take him end of the first round. He really developed his shot. I think he has the potential to have a Vucevic like game...

That leaves quite a few positions needed. I used to hope and request the most switchable 6'5 and over defender / shooter available..

Would like to add if possible that player must have a mean streak and attitude about him... ala Nesmith..cant take the no energy starts whether Steven's is to blame or not..

I’ve been preaching Bassey since before he reclassified. He hasn’t been able to stay healthy though. If they can get him with a second round pick it would be awesome, but I have a strong feeling he’ll rise up the boards.
