The league has a long history of magically having things happen that end up in the best ratings, just ignore the strange officiating, nothing to see there.
I guess it wouldn't surprise me all that much if those type of discussions occur. Hey LeBron, the league needs this right now, don't worry, we will make sure you win the play in game and it will make a great story of the Lakers being the first play in team and making it to the finals, think of your legacy!
If you guys think the league is dumb enough to do that, then I’ve got a bridge to sell you. They don’t openly plot conspiracies with star players fighting for playoff positioning.
I mean they did alter the 2002 WCF where their employee got busted by the FBI, followed by them taking over the investigation and immediately squashing it.
Can't put anything past them after that.
