Game boards are just about dead. Is this team just driving Portland fans to boredom?

Nice to see Portland win this one. They look like they are getting better, and their last 3 games are a good opportunity to show if they can beat good teams.

Excellent all around game by Portland, and nice to get a win where we can rest players again.

Simons is really starting to improve overall, his offense is showing more and more as he develops. If he could improve his D he would be a very nice bench player for this team.

There was a part of the Spurs broadcast where they went over a couple things Simons did that were mistakes. Basically trying to make a pass where he didn't have the angle, and also not knowing where to be on defense. He looks promising but he'll also need to stop making so many of those basic mistakes.

I've noticed that as well...

My excuse is that in the last two years my kiddo has aged into sports interest (7), so we are usually watching the game together rather than than me watching in my office while I am on my computer. Viewing habits have changed as well, a lot more people are unplugged from cable and may not be ponying up for real-time access to the games.

He's now a legit rotation player.... I don't know what his ceiling is, I don't think it's nearly as high as Olshey. I suspect his ceiling will be something like Lou-Williams / Jamal Crawford type player. Microwave 6th man type.

Only 10% of the fans allowed into the MC and unable to watch the games due to CSN doesn't lead
to much interest in this season.

I used to believe the forum was shrinking because people were not allowed to talk how, and about, the issues they wanted to discuss. Now that the forum is essentially gone, I think there is probably around a dozen of us left, I can't even remember what it was like at the peak. It's hard to say why nobody is here when there is no memory of what originally brought people here. I know it's not just basketball. Our team is better now than a huge majority of teams we have had. If you think the complainers are evidence of dissatisfaction, you are wrong. There has always been a huge amount of complaining here. Complaining is what many people like to do. The coach is always a favorite target. Every team has players that are favorite targets. Complaining is one thing that's still allowed. So, the complainers should be happy.

I mean many teams on this forum don't get a ton of action in the team threads, It seems like Reddit is becoming the new "top place" to talk about basketball. This forum felt far more substantial 5-6 years ago.

I mean for instance the Lakers Blazers game had only 3 pages of discussion on the Lakers forum and that team is one of the most popular teams in the NBA.
