Charles Bassey is on my board.

I have Sharpe ahead of Bassey

How does play in tourney effect draft position? If we finish 7th in east and then lose the play in games do we move up to 11-12th area in the draft?

I got Cade on my big board when we make the lottery and Silver grants us the #1 pick.

Who you guys taking at #1?

a trade

**To eleborate,

I would look to move down with someone at 3rd or so and try to move off Kemba at same time.

Assuming the rest of the lotto stayed the same and for some miraculous reason Boston leapfrogged everyone up to the 1st spot and the rest of the draft was worst record picks first

1: Boston
2: Cavs
3: Piston
4: Rockets

Assuming the draft goes
Cade
Green
Mobley
as 1,2,3 I look to trade with Houston for the 4th pick plus an asset
or Ideally, Detroit

#1 and Kemba to Detroit
for #3 and Corey Joseph. Should clear about 20 mill into a TPE so that team can go after a free agent center.

The ideal draft target for the celtics, imo, is Suggs

Suggs
Smart
Brown
Tatum
????

Offense would click so much easier with someone like Suggs running the point

Cade

Then trade Jaylen and Smart for GSW pick at #5 and take Kuminga.

Trade Kemba to Knicks for #20.

Cade/PP - Nesmith/Langford - Wiggins/Kuminga - Tatum/GW - RW/TT/GW

Kemba and Smart to Detroit
#2 and Corey Joseph to Boston

Who says no??

Detroit
Kemba
Smart
Bey
Grant
Stewart/Plublee

Boston
Suggs (#2)/Pritchard/Joseph
Fournier/Romeo
Brown/Nesmith
Tatum/Todd (Bostons 1st)
Timelord/Thompson

11 mill TPE and about 25 mill TPE to address front court and wing weaknesses

Why don't you suggest this on the Pistons forum and find out?

Charles Bassey is on my board.

I’ve been preaching Bassey since before he reclassified. He hasn’t been able to stay healthy though. If they can get him with a second round pick it would be awesome, but I have a strong feeling he’ll rise up the boards.

so you're saying he would fit right in 8-)

;ab_channel=Overtime

Todd is a great fit next to the jays at PF. FLoor spaces, can pass, can drive off closeouts and can rebound the ball.

Kemba/Smart/PP
Brown/Fournier
Tatum/Nesmith
Todd/Parker
Timelord/Thompson

Just need to move Kemba and upgrade Center with a HEALTHY option.

Think 36 and 36 record will get in the lotto?

If we lose the play in games we most likely get the 14th spot in the lottery.

I'm not trading Smart--ever. He's the only one on the team who really cares about winning. The others just mouth words but won't put their bodies on the line.

I think we can still get the best play-in team pick pre-lottery (#11). That would require:

- CHA & MEM passing us record wise by end of regular season.
- BOS & CHA both getting jumped by 9 & 10 during the play-in
- 10th team in the west (SAS now) making it into the playoffs from the play-in.

That would mean both teams in the West that fell out and CHA would be in the lottery with better records over BOS.
Then we'd be #11 with 9.4% chance of top 4, 2% for #1.

We could also tie any of the play-in teams that end up in the lottery and be down to a coin flip.
Worst we could do even if we lost out is 37 losses, so we can't possibly miss the play-in.

EDIT: Strike that - 7 & 8 can't both lose the play-in. Back to the drawing board... Need CHA and one/both of WAS/IND to pass us record wise.

Getting suggs in the draft would certainly make up for this crapshoot season.

But i will be ecstatic with todd and ayo.

I like both those guys a lot, but haven't really dug in yet. Also, see my edit.... 12 may be it unless both CHA and one of IND/WAS pass us...

I want to go on record and say the NBA still owes us for the Tim Duncan draft. Boston better be getting a top 3 pick.

Just for fun, I want Cade 1st. haven't figured out who I want 2nd or 3rd choice yet.
