We should have traded a package around Duncan for Lowry tbh. Idk what other scrubs would have needed to be included to match salaries, but the more I look at it the more it makes sense.

Duncan has no place here long term. Completely awful defensively, and with no potential to get better. And not good enough or consistent enough offensively for it to offset.

i disagree,i would have done it for harden though. but drob has a place in this team, i'm not sure if lowry even fits here.

james johnson and company were enough for me to accept anything else coming from the craptors

Problem is one is too old to be consistent night to night, one is too young and one doesn't have the skillset\talent level to be a consistent scorer.

That's why im desperate to add a Beal type - to add that reliable offensive guy that Jimmy and Bam need next to them.

I agree, Nunn and Herro will have to pickup the slack

How much time off does the play in give playoff qualified teams?

If anyone wants a dose of depression in their lives: peep the current standings, then go check our season gamelog and note all the exceedingly winnable games that we've blown

tl/dr: we -- at the very least -- should be locked into the 4th seed and currently slated to host NYK in the 1st round

Maybe this will be the offseason the FO will prioritize building around Butler's window. There's still possibly 3-4 more years of near this level of play from him. Who knows, maybe Spoelstra can get him to work on his 3 to help his teammates' spacing.

#6 in PER 26.5 (.1 behind Curry)
#7 in VORP at 4.1
#5 in BPM at 7.5 (tied with LeBron)
#5 in WS at 8.9 (tied with Embiid)

#35 in usage at 26.6

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

People have this expectation, but Jimmy is already one of the oldest players among the top 40 scorers in the NBA. Like top 5 oldest. There are that few guys that old averaging even 18 points a game. It's not impossible that Jimmy may keep playing at this level for 3 or 4 more years, but it's highly unlikely. I'm expecting maybe 2 more years before the obvious signs of decline begin to appear.
