Tankers are having a hissy fit again! The picks have already been selected. The NBA has turned into WWE Wrestling. It's all scripted and you tankers fall right into the trap.

Don't you have a Qanon board you should be on?

Pistons getting manhandled like we did by the T-Wolves. Could be down 30 at half.

So, what if like 4 teams end up tied with the same record outside of Detroit and Houston, what would be the tie breaker results.

They split them up, so all the tied teams would have them same odds. If it ends up uneven, I think they flip a coin to see who gets the extra lottery chance.BadMofoPimp wrote:So, what if like 4 teams end up tied with the same record outside of Detroit and Houston, what would be the tie breaker results.

Barring something totally unforseen, it's gonna be this.
1. Houston
2. Detroit
Tied for 3rd. Orlando, Cleveland, Oklahoma City
6. Minnesota

Re: Race for Ping Pong Balls
Would be nice if Brooklyn beat San Antonio on Wednesday and Miami beat Philadelphia on Thursday.
That would ensure the Sixers would at the very least play that first game against Orlando to win to clinch the 1 seed.
That second game against Philly is looking a little spooky though.

I guess if we're terrified of the Sixers games, shouldn't Cavs fans be equally terrified of playing the Nets in the finale who will likely have the 2 seed wrapped up and won't play anybody either?
Heck Washington could be locked into the 10 seed with no chance to move up or down and sit Westbrook against the Cavs too.

I think the big difference is that they (Nets) may want to actually get their 3 stars playing together before the playoffs start. Harden appears finally ready to play.

Fun fact.
The Cavs literally last season won 2 of their last 3 games to go from 17 wins to 19 wins, drawing them even with the Wolves at 19 wins.
The Wolves won the lottery and got the No. 1 pick. The Cavs, who easily could have had the 2nd worst record, ended up picking 5th.

We have one good thing going for us, 76ers still didn't secured 1# seed due loss to Indiana. If they lose to Heat, they might need to beat us both times to do it.

Re: Race for Ping Pong Balls
Today's tankathon pull:
Orlando 6
Chicago 8
....
Orlando sits tied at #4/#5 with Cleveland
Orlando is a 1/2 game better than #3 OKC
Orlando is 1 game worse than #6 Minnesota
Chicago sits at #8
Chicago is 2 games better than #7 Toronto; the Raptors are eliminated from the play-ins
Chicago is 2 games worse than #9 Sacramento
Chicago is 3 games out of a play-in slot with only 3-games left to play
The computers have the Magic finishing tied for 3/4 and the Bulls at 8.

Re: Race for Ping Pong Balls
Tanking teams SHOULD lose out...no more head to head matchups. Even if we play PHI’s bench, they should smack us up. They may not need a win, but they won’t mind one, We are aggressively losing...even if our guys get juiced, we’re still an awful team

Re: Race for Ping Pong Balls
Hate to state the obvious, but more then ever this is pure luck. I mean these odds are terrible to say the least. I see no reason why people are losing their minds over this, its completely out of anyones control. Most of the time I do this stupid tankathon thing Magic are outside of the top 5 and the Bulls are in it. Seriously, I'm not exaggerating. Hopefully it goes our way but being scared or nervous seems like a complete waste of anyones time and mental energy.

KillMonger wrote:Magic has tried to tank but they just didn't go the extra mile some of these teams did.....i mean to actively try to lose on the court like detroit did against us....OKC shutting down healthy players to focus on the youth but at the same time sitting those youth every other game....even Toronto sitting almost their entire starting lineup against us sans vanVleet. maybe it won't bite us in the azz? Those teams had no shame in what they were doing but for a while it seemed like we were above those kind of tactics.....
What? You want Magic who already field one of the worst rosters ever to go the extra mile? They did enough. This roster post trade deadline, had they played an entire year, doesn't win double digit games. Easily. I think a lot of Magic fans don't want to hear that though, they want to believe the Magic are good enough that they have to try to lose. Its laughable in my opinion to think the Magic didn't do enough. Sorry, we don't even have a guy on Horfords level to even force him to sit out thats how bad this team is. Best we could do is sit Ross, who isn't really that great to begin with, and we did sit him anyway.
