Yeah, it sucks

All we can do is hope Miami drops one and we win out. Even if we don't, and we get bounced in the first round, this season was still a win, and we have a very good base to build off of

Just stop playing Elfrid, please.

Knicks lose a tough one, and now RJ is trash and Thibs needs to delegate offensive strategy to another coach lmao.

Gotta sleep this one off, Knicks fans. Really tough loss but still a great season and I still have my eye on the 4th seed with more games to play. Playoff bound regardless. And let us remember- we've got a really great bunch of seasons on the horizon with a revamped FO, coaching staff and culture.. plus a young core destined for continual improvement.

See, ya gotta have gratitude in this life when things seem to be going badly. That's how you climb out of the gutter mentally, and turn negative events into positive learning experiences.

All Thibs does is ISO and if the player doesn't hit the tough contested shots then the Knicks lose, if they hit them the Knicks win....that's the sum of his offense in crunch time. Every time, that is a recipe of losing close games if you don't have the best tough shot makers in the league and the Knicks don't have them. Randle has made a few and missed a few, he's average as a go to guy.

Thibs offensive scheming struggles have been the same all season and in the playoffs it will be exposed because he doesn't have the elite shooters to cover for his lacking. How hard is that to understand? Oh, you didn't, you ramble off a bunch of nonsense that's in your head not what I said so why did you even quote me if you talk to yourself? I will be gateful if you go away, ok?

That’s a pretty rough assessment for game 6 of a 6 game Western swing 68 games in with your two best bench shooters injured. Not to mention our best rebounder and only (non-Obi) lob finisher still out.

The thibs offense isn’t genius, but it does rely on the iso player to penetrate and kick. RJ being ice cold and Bullock being MIA tonight made it come down to ISO Rose & Randle.

One thing Julius could work on is finishing as the roll man. He pretty much exclusively looks to pop or reset for an iso post.

Full arsenal of shooters (or god forbid leaving in Frank when he’s hot), and the offense is fine. Not great, but not terrible either.

Still control our destiny. If we go 2-1 in our last 3 we probably get in the 4-5. I'm not sweating it too much. Have a feeling this team responds well and goes 3-0 in 3 winnable games.

Can't be all positive so I'll say this... sit Elf please lol

We no longer control our own destiny. Not after today's loss we don't.

My reputation? LMAO. Stop flip flopping.

Because you've done this on about half of your opinions. The only thing I can say you're consistent with is payton sucks. Which I think the whole world agrees.

Do me a favor and don't try to drive the PG off topic by trying to target my reputation. You don't want to read something I write well then don't.

It's people like you that makes things toxic. Am I mad and irate about barret of course. He just cost us the 4th seed. Single handily made us lose.

I honestly don't think he will be a super star. I think he can make it to all-star maybe once or twice and be a good 3rd 4th option if he can become consistent, learn how to play defense ETC. Long long way to go.

Do me a huge favor. if you don't want me to air our you're dirty laundry then stay away from me ;).

yo - link that "lonzo ball is the final piece" quote.

smfh - you actually made me do the work

next time let me ruin my own reputation instead of misquoting me - thank you.

2022-23
Lonzo
Free Agent (Beal, Lavine?)
RJ
Randle

we would definitely need a creator at the 2 spot - because that line up puts it all on Randle.

I'm really skeptical of Lonzo being a target if Thibs has a lot of input in the roster. He doesn't fit his mold of a pg who pressure a defense.

Also, the price tag with the inconsistency is a lil off putting.

Wishful thinking but maybe this ends up helping our Mavs pick. If the Lakers win out and the Mavs lose two more then Mavs fall to the 7th seed

Knicks need a pg badly

How many times have we said this over the past few years? We all sound like a bunch of broken records.

Knicks cant have Randle always handling the ball.

Thibs is not very creative offensively, all season long during the 4th qrts he relies on his players to make tough shots. This isn't something I'm saying for the first time, it's something Ive said even after games when the players make the shots.

So much of the Knicks offense late in games is created off a standstill and really the only action is a screen for the ball handler. Sure, Randle and Rose can make some tough shots but to rely on that is only going to get the Knicks so far.

In this game it didn't help them that the few shooters the Knicks had available weren't that hot, the Knicks missed having other options like IQ and Burks. It's one of the areas the Knicks need a talent upgrade in but if the talent is lesser and the coaching won't make up for that then this is what can happen....and did.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right

That’s how I feel focus on actually clinching the spot before thinking about moving up.

Boston’s next two is cavs/wolves very easy games even without Jaylen then they get us

Knicks next two are spurs/hornets which can honestly go either way.

Tough loss but played well enough to win even without Quick, Burke, and our starting center. We "should have" won this one - we made some big shots and forced someone other than AD to beat us down the stretch and kudos them to them.

Big putback by Wes, huge and very difficult shot from THT, etc. they hit a lot of shots that I think they wouldn't hit more than 40% of the time if you did it 100 times over.

The only thing that really concerns me is late game situations when the defense is tight. We seem to break down easily and RJ is clearly not ready for that responsibility yet.

LAL has the best player

We have the better team

They were home

game was a toss up IMO.

We got nothing from RJ, they got a lot from their role players and made some very tough shots down the stretch to eek this one out. Don't overthink it either way. If we'd won, not really a huge deal to me.
