But in a game decided by 6 points or fewer that's on coaching. 10 points or more is on the players. 7-9 you just lost.

Is it over-reliance or him coaching to the personnel he's given? I'm leaning towards the latter as I think any reasonable person would suggest because blaming this game on Thibs is pure madness to me lol. The only thing you can really ding him for is Payton which I don't feel like beating a dead horse about...
I'm not blaming Thibs for the loss. I'm blaming Thibs for not being less predictable.
There are a lot of issues that led to the loss, with rebounding being the main one. We're light in the pants up front.
That's fair. I don't think you're coming off as blaming Thibs tbh. I just think it's more of a personnel issue than a coaching issue personally. Randle, Rose and Burks are our shot-makers. One is out and the other 2 had trouble at the end getting things going. There is only so much a coach can draw up to overcome that kind of stuff IMO. At the end of the day, offensively, we're only going to go as far as Julius can carry us this year. He basically outplayed a top 5 guy for 48 minutes.
But yes the rebounding is an issue and elf is an issue. But if there weren't issues we would be a 1 seed lol. Hopefully by some miracle we could get Mitch back for the playoffs and help mitigate 1 of those issues
