What do you read/monitor to be aware of these trends early?

Honestly...just scrounge reddit. I don't have the time to dig in too deep and make good decisions, but i do have some fun money to play with and take bets. I'm just riding the momentum and hoping to get out with a profit...i know long term this isn't for me

Good luck to everyone playing the meme/**** game. I haven't messed with it but definitely some cash to be made if you time it right.

I'm more interested in playing the long game on some defi coins. Have ETH as my core investment then some Chainlink and Polygon. Any others that should be on my radar?

Aside from the ones you mentioned, some of the long term coins I have money in, include ADA, ANKR, XLM, Polkadot, VeChain, Tezos (Staking) and Pirate Chain. I'm monitoring BAT and TRX as well.

I try not to think about having over 10k dogecoin in 2018 but seeing it tame down a bit helps.

Rest of my stocks are ugly though, woof. May invest more in draft kings, ghvi, and palantir.

Thank dude! I actually own a little XLM and BAT. I'll check out some others. I'm basically just using some excess cash that I wouldn't need to touch for years. Staking some ETH 2.0 and spreading some around to these projects and see if a few hit.

ha. good day to do it.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I have quite a bit in LINK and ADA, I hedged them with ETH and BIT. Feeling really good with that. MANA , XLM and ANKR are my fliers and have about 10k there. I have a few others like OGN, SKL, and ALGO.

OGN and MANA are my NFT plays. One has been fantastic like food from heaven, the other... Not as much.
I needs shades for this future thing we owning..... 8-) 8-) 8-)

We need to figure out which other Crypto they want to use. As far what that could look like? ADA ALGO SOL XRP NANO XLM? Those are just shots in the dark but one's I'd keep an eye on, especially Algo as they put out news last month of trying to push to be the cleanest blockchain. Eth 2.0 could maybe be in play too.

Or we could just say good riddance and not be involved in a form of currency that is doing irreparable damage to the world. We could do that too.

I wholeheartedly agree things need to change. And I think that's kind of the point of the post. To find clean energy that doesn't have an impact on our environment. I don't think it's a sustainable technology in its current form.

The problem with Musk is he obviously knew how harmful it was before he invested heavily in BC and drove MASSIVE investment interest in it. **** that guy, **** the company, they earn no points.

In the spirit of a popular subredit ELI5 (explain it to me like I'm 5), but how is crypto currency bad for the environment?
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

The process of mining these coins has a very high computer, and thus energy consumption and since most of that energy isnt renewable, its bad for the environment

Uses an absurd amount of energy to transact with, which in turn blows out a lot of carbon emissions.

My job requires me to be on a computer for 40 hours a week. I guess I don't know enough about computers to know the difference

Think of a fully decked out computer running on max power 24/7. You can heat a room with one, heat a house with multiple. Bitcoin mining by itself uses up almost 1% of the global energy consumption.
