I'm realizing that pre Lakers game the Knicks were still suspect. This is a low IQ team because they're handicapped at the PG position. And RJ could shoot 75% from 3's but he still needs someone to facilitate his shots. He can't create his own shot yet. What if Randle gets injured? What kind of team is this? Who will be the #1 option? There were tons of games where the Knicks closed out poorly this season. And the playoffs is about having high IQ's and knowing how to close out games.

It depends on where your goal posts are and although mine have shifted throughout the year - i'm taking this squarely from a "I believe we deserve the 4th seed regardless of playoff outcome and I believe that we deserve to at least have a very close if not winning first round of the playoffs"

That is what I think we deserve based on how we have played this season and so I think i cant help but be disappointed if its anything less than that - based on how we have played this season - and not based on what was expected this season.

Re. Randle getting injured you can say the same for a lot of teams. What if CP3 gets injured. The Nets haven't been together for anymore than what 7 games? What if Embiid gets injured. Those things are unforseen.

I don't think the team is suspect for a 4 seed and a tight round 1 matchup. My goal posts have never been any further than that - at times they've been less but never been more.

And I have full confidence in our F.O to know that they need to upgrade next season so moving forward the landscape will be different.

Hard to go down when you play for 5 minute stretches and don’t exert yourself on defense

Imagine the state of Knicks if Frank had Elfrid's leash

Happy to see the Knicks back in the playoffs, but that’s about it. The NBA is a bad product. Positionless basketball is boring, low iq basketball.

Oh, and Randle is not a star player. He shouldn’t be handling the ball half the time. I don’t want to see him maxed.

Damn. Knicks down to 1 player who can create his own shot.

And zero shooters besides that same player.

Good times.

Another loss coming up.

Yes, how I long for the days when teams dumped the ball into the post 50 times a game

It actually reminds me of this exchange from the Big Bang Theory:

Leonard: "Don't you think if a woman was living with me I'd be the first one to know about it?"
Penny: "Ugh sweetie, you'd be the last one to know about it?"

Thibs: "Don't you think if LeFrid was sabotaging my offense and my defense I'd be the first one to know about it?"
Chanel: "Ugh stubborn old man, you'd be the last one to know about it?"

i used to be one of those guys calling for Elf’s head, crucifying Thibs for questionable rotations and wanting more leash for Frank and Obi. I’m long past that now. This season has truly been a journey and I’m thankful for every moment. I was so wrong about so many things that I’ll just quietly watch on as this regular season comes to a close. The Knicks have been one of the few things that make me smile lately and no one, not even Elfrid, can take that away from me.

Play hard these last 3 games, look nowhere else but your own team/goals and let the chips fall as they may. Hopefully IQ and Borks come back strong for the postseason and Obi and Frank can earn more trust in the postseason. Go Knicks
