What players should the Warriors go after next season

Post#1 » by Currygoat » Thu May 13, 2021 1:19 am

It’s unacceptable if the Wiseman and our two first round picks are on this team next year. Curry is getting old it’s time to go all out. Players I want in order that we can realistically get

1.Karl Anthony Towns
1b Bradly Beal
2.Paskal Siakam
3.Domantas Sabonis
4.Malcolm Brogdon
5.Lonzo Ball
6.Zach LaVine
7. Myles Turner

From a financial standpoint, Wiggins and Wiseman for Brogdon and Myles Turner actually works. The trade would create a hole at the forward position though.

I honestly would want to keep Wiggins. My dream lineup would be

Karl Anthony Towns
Green
Wiggins
Klay
Curry

I would trade Wiggins and all our assets if we can get A combination of .Domantas Sabonis or Turner and Malcolm Brogdon.

I'd want Pascal without giving up Wiggins somehow. Would love a closing lineup of Curry/Klay/Wiggins/Pascal/Green
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

Agree....keep Wiggins. I just don't know how you ADD another player though if you don't move Wiggins contract?
Would love to have Goran Dragic or Rick Rubio as our back up.
Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond, Wiseman
Rubio, Poole, Paschall, Looney, JTA

Add rookie from Wolves pick....

That's a pretty damn good team.

Adding list of FA.

The guys I want from this list are Brogdon and Siakam. No idea how to get it done though cause dont want to give up Wiggins... and Wisman doesnt make enough.

Would have been possible if Myers kept the Oubre salary alive.

17m+Wiseman's 8m+filler salaries+Minny pick+2021 GS pick+future 1sts+seconds for KAT.

So less than were paying this year for the combo of Wiseman, Poubre, Looney, and Smiley. Yes, lets do that.

Selling on Wiseman now would be selling at his nadir. Even if the salaries matched up (which they don't), you'd likely not even be able to get back Myles Turner straight up for Wiseman. Wiseman played like poop and then suffered a season ending knee injury that required surgery. At this point, he is one giant question mark.

You don't. KAT makes $31m/year.

I also saw someone suggest trading a TPE acquired from an Oubre S+T with other players. TPEs cannot be combined. They can only be traded for a player of equal or lesser salary.

I'm curious, why?

Unless your next move is shipping Wiseman out, we basically just committed to 40 mins (at least) of Wise/Noel then 8 (at best) mins of Dray at the 5. I love Noel and think he's a great asset/defender, but we have a lot of other needs before a luxury signing like that. Now without Wiseman I think he'd be a great fit, but I'm not willing to dump James for the peanuts some folks are suggesting.

If the goal is to win next year, Noel is the perfect C for these warriors.

With Wiggs, Dray, Klay, and Draymond. Having a high usage C isnt the best fit. But a low usage, switchable, rebounding, and shotblocking C is.

Wise can still have a role as the big with the second unit with poole because Noel can also play PF and cover alot of what wiseman cant do on the defensive end.

While Looney continues to do Looney things, but on less minutes to save him from injuries.

a veteran point guard like Shaun Livingston, Jarret Jack type

CP3 completely transformed Phoenix (and previously the Thunder), but of course he's a HoFer

if we can get a cheap'ish veteran point guard that would be great. Kyle Lowry, Derrick Rose, Jeff Teague, Patty Mills
