Won’t be buying Fields until I see him produce though.
Please elaborate. What exactly did Brian Urlacher say that you feel is racist? I may have missed something here.
I just searched. Was it this, or something else?
"NBA players boycott the playoffs because a dude reaching for a knife, wanted on a felony sexual assault warrant, was shot by police.”
By the way, I also sold my Urlacher Jersey, and Derrick Rose Jersey. Not because anything that was said or done, just because at my age I no longer wear or look decent in a jersey. I will never buy another, because I just don't feel right wearing numbers of some guy who is half my age. I will still follow and support the teams I like.
I think in America its okay to question both criminal police behavior, and criminal public behavior. Where we should all be patient is rushing to judgement before actual facts get provided. There are situations of injustice, and also cases where force is justified. The best course of action is to not jump on one side before a complete story comes out.
I'm a strong believer in don't run, and don't resist. This should be taught in school. Over 90% of the Police problems we see today could be avoided if these concepts were applied.
This is what my parents told me. Obviously everyone does not have the same experiences, so I'm open to at least hearing another opinion.
In the past I volunteered to have my car searched, and even popped the trunk at least twice when pulled over. Why? because I had nothing to hide. After a quick stop I was on my way with just a minor traffic ticket. (Like a tail light out, No seat belt, or driving with a crack in the windshield). Over the years I have got stopped for all of these reasons.

I also got tackled by a officer behind a building in Lombard, after a friend who was sober drove me home, and I asked him to pull over after we left the bar because I needed to pee. Once they ran are records we were both let go. The police said they were on a drug watch, and the area behind the building had recent activity.
They searched the car and let us go after we did not have drugs or money. I never did get to pee, and my friend bitched me out for putting him in that situation. I got tackled by a fast cop on mountain bike just as I was about to unzip my zipper. Next thing you know we were surrounded by police cars. It probably did not help that we were in a brand new I think 2003 corvette parked behind a building.
Oh well, we both complied, and I woke up the next morning feeling somewhat okay with a good story to tell.
