Nice effort from our 2nd unit vs. their 3rd unit.
Hopefully, our deeper rotation can get us to the last quarter with more fresh legs.

We just need to get close, even if trailing... at Spanish we call it Hacer la goma.

Literally: 'do the rubber' or 'do the elastics'. You let them be ahead and wait for your moment to turn the tables.

One historic Catalan coach named Manel Comas even formalized that situation as an intended strategy.
He called it: la Táctica del Conejo (Rabbit's Strategy)... sorta you 'play dead' so the opponent relaxes and then, you hoop by surprise'.
He got some nice streaks of wins against far superior teams with that strategy.

Do you get any name for that sort of strategy, in English bball slang?

Wolves off-ball defense has been awful. Players are just standing around as their guys cut to the rim for easy layups.

Falling apart here, going to need to make a run quick before it gets way out of hand.

Never understood why we didn't go after athletic huge bigs. Guys like Mcgee aren't stars but players like that can do so much damage just because they are huge and mobile. McGee is killing us with defense tonight, not because he is really so great he's just big and active and we are getting worked under the basket. I'd always try to have a guy like that on my squad, just be a big active body.

Only saw the second quarter. Towns looked like he was pressing to match Jokic. And not doing well.

Rubio 1-7 from the field is hurting the team a ton tonight. Denver Nuggets are just completely sagging from him & doubling everyone else, clogging the paint, giving him wide open shots & he can’t make them pay.

Love Ricky but this is why Jazz & Suns moved on from him.

Dlo should've kept posting up on campazzo.. Don't know why he passed out to towns on that last possession.

They even switched Javale McGee on Rubio a few times because he is a zero threat so McGee can just patrol the paint.

Wolves commentators say dlo defense been good.. Meh he's getting blown by with ease. And shooting's been kinda awful too. He's having a better game offensively though. Should have shot the ball more.

We manage to still cling to the game.

It could be worse...

Don't forget the Nuggets are missing a bunch of key guys. this team is high level. LOL at the Kings for firing Malone and Joerger and then jumping to get Walton, absolutely ridiculous moves.

D'angelo Russell causes an awful lot of defensive breakdowns for his team

Double post but this is also why I think we need a strong, vet big to join this squad. Jaden, Naz, Vando are nice but none of them contend with size and power. The NBA is getting big again and teams that can field giants like this one are going to smash us all the time. We need some rebounding, defense, and rim protection. Our young bigs and bring all of that right now and they never may.

I know people who consider Mike The Malo One a disgrace of a coach, send kudos to Kings for firing him and pretend he's the only thing preventing Nuggets to get a ring.

Not trolling.
I know them, under different nicks.
At first I thought they were trolling but I ended up conviced they mean it.

Real MVP vs. imposter. KAT trying to score highlight assists with his team battling from behind says everything. Jokic is 2x the player KAT is
